Bomb

Mak's pov:
"Hey! Mak! Wake up!" I heard Mur's voice echo with loud footsteps behind it.

Everything looks blurry what happened? Gah why does my back hurt so much?

"Come on, get up we gotta go." Mur said helping me up as i wobbled.

"The mercenaries planted a bomb in the sewers we have to go!" Mur yelled as he pushed me towards the exit as Cry and Dupo ran past us.

"If theres a bomb here its our job to detonate it, we cannot risk civilian casualties." I said turning back around facing the door that supposedly leads to the bomb.

"Mak its not safe." Mur said placing his hand on my shoulder.

"No worries Mur, I'll keep him safe. You should get the rest to safety." Nala interrupts.

"Alright then, just watch yourselves." Mur says as he begins making his way out.

I nod before walking over to the door leading to the bomb and opening it.

Behind the door was a room slightly lit up with blood red that seemed to be reflecting off something.

"I dont like the look of this." I say taking a few steps into the room and seeing a huge crate looking bomb threaded with large wires.

Wow they sure put some work into this, i wonder how strong the blast is? Well lets hope i dont get to find out.

"How do you plan to defuse this Mak?" Nala asked as we both glared at the bomb helplessly.

"Just cut some wires and hope that it works i guess?" I responded unsure."

"Well you better start doing so because it seems to be coming close to exploding." Nala said as the bomb began beeping rapidly making me panic.

Rushing over to the bomb i snatched Nala's lightsaber and turned it on spreading a light blue glimmer across the room.

"Hey!" She said reaching for her lightsaber as i rushed towards the bomb.

Which one? Theres so many!

I suddenly began slashing away at all the wires but not stopping the beeping at all.

I looked up to see a larger than usual tube most likely filled with wires or fuel going down into the bomb's centre.

Not even thinking about it i lunged over slashing it stopping the beeping and setting a calming atmosphere.

"Can I have my lightsaber now if you dont mind?" Nala said crossing her arms.

"Yeah, sorry about that. It was just one of those fight or flight moments." I said handing her the lightsaber before contacting Mur through the comlink.

"Mur come in. We have defused the bomb the area is clear" i said raising my hand up and activating the comlink.

"Alright we are no-"

BANG. The ceiling began shaking as dust fell on our heads. "What was that?" I questioned turning to Nala.

"I have no clue, lets go and find out." Nala said rushing towards the exit as i followed shortly.
