Bianca is at home in her room doing her homework, then she gets a call from Kalina.

"Hey what's up?"

"Yo! You have to come to school like now!"

"Why what's going on?"

"Just come. Quick." Kalina says as she hangs up.

Bianca runs to school and sees crowd of people in front of the school and Harper on the edge of the roof.

"Holy shit!" Bianca says running to Kalina.

"What's going on?"

"The basketball team getting ready to leave and then someone puts this on Instagram live." Kalina says pointing at Harper.

"You guys don't think she's gonna jump do you?

"She's obviously stalling. It's been ten minutes and she still there." Mya said.

"Exactly. What makes her think people are gonna buy this?" Roosevelt said.

"Get down here slut!" A student screams.

"We know you're not gonna do it!" Another student screams.

Harper steps closer to the edge.

Bianca starts running.

"Where are you going?" Kalina says.

Bianca runs to the top of the building.

"Harper!"

"What are you doing here?" Harper says crying.

"Think about what you're doing. You can't do this to yourself." Bianca says slowly walking up to her.

"Back up Bianca!"

Bianca stops walking.

"What makes you think I'll just let you jump?"

"You don't care about me. No one does. Not even my own mother."

"What do you mean your own mother?"

"Your mom and my mom had a little conversation about me! I think you already know what happened next."

"Your mom kicked you out?"

Harper stays quiet.

"Harper, you can stay with us for as long as you need to just please don't jump."

"Why? So I can walk the halls with everyone call me thirsty and a sex addict?! And not to mention your friends hate me and your so-called girlfriend."

"Harper listen, Kalina means nothing to me OK? What we have is nothing. She's gonna get bored of me."

Harper stands still.

"Hey. You were right all along."

Kalina runs away.
Harper starts shaking.

"It's OK. It's ok." Bianca says running to Harper and catching her.

Harper starts crying and everyone starts clapping. Later that day, Bianca walks to Kalina's house just as Chloe opens the door.

"You here for Kalina?"

"Yes."

"She's upstairs. I'm heading out to have a drink with a friend. Take care of her." Chloe says getting in her car.

Bianca goes upstairs and knocks on Kalina's door.

"Come in."

Bianca comes in the room.

"Oh, hey." Kalina says boredly.

"Hey. I noticed that you left early."

"Chloe was worried about me. I heard you saved Harper. That must be a good feeling." Harper says sitting up and turning off the TV.

"Yeah. Are you ok?"

"I heard what you said to Harper."

"Oh, do mermaids have super hearing or something?"

"Don't be funny."

"Kalina, you know I didn't mean any of that."

"You may not have meant any of that, but you told her what she was dying to hear."

"She was trying to kill herself, what did you expect me to do?"

"You're so gullible. She only did that get your attention." Kalina says getting up from her bed.

"What if she wasn't, so I should've let her die?"

Kalina rolls her eyes.

"Look, Harper is dead to me for what she did, but that doesn't mean she deserves to die."

"If she's dead to you then why would you offer her a comfortable bed at your place? I can even picture it, your mom making breakfast, her holding your hand."

"Her mom kicked her out."

"It's so funny that not so long ago you didn't give a shit about her, and now that she tried to jump her way to infamy you care about her. She was just getting what she deserved, she was halfway in quick sand and what do you do, you pull her out!"

"Do you hear yourself right now? Even K'lynn is worried about her."

Kalina chuckles with sarcasm.

"Well if it makes you feel better Harper said she already has people she can stay with. Besides, my mom probably wouldn't be cool with her anyway."

"Did you even think about what going on when you were up there with her? You know she's obsessed with you. She'll pretty much do anything to get to you. She had pictures of me as a mermaid. If she can try to ruin my life, I'm pretty sure she can stage a suicide attempt if you're that important to her."

"You have no reason to be mad at me."

"Well I am mad at you Bianca! You left me! You left me for the bitch that used you and tried to turn you into something you're not. You chose her over me!"

"Don't be ridiculous. I'd never choose her over you."

"Well you kinda did. We as a team were basically running her into the ground. She tricks you and now you lift her back up." Kalina says as she falls back into her bed.

Bianca slams the door on her way out and walks home.
