Roosevelt's rude awakening

It's afterschool and Roosevelt is about to get in her car, but then she sees Kalina and calls her.

"What's up?" Kalina said.

"Do you need a ride?"

"No."

"I heard about what happened."

"I know. Everyone did."

"Everyone wants you to beat up Harper again."

"As much as I want to, it's not relevant right now."

Roosevelt chuckles.

"Oh um, who's Candy?"

"We're on the cheerleading team together, why?"

"So you and her weren't working with Harper together?"

Roosevelt gives Kalina a surprised look.

"Bianca tells me everything get used to it. Does she know about you're master plan?"

"Well she knows I deleted the pictures of you, so she kinda knows, but I'm certain that she's not working with Harper anymore."

"Why?"

"Same reason why I'm not working with her anymore, especially after what she did to Bianca."

Kalina gets a text from Mya.

"I should get going."

"OK, by any chance, is there a way you can sneak me in to Bianca's party tonight? I haven't been to a party in a while."

"I can't promise anything, but I'll see what I can do."

"OK thanks."

Kalina walks home and Roosevelt drives away.

Time goes by and Bianca's friends are at Bianca's party hall in her dressing room. Mya is finishing up her makeup.

"You should be a makeup artist." Bianca said.

"Woah, Ms. Coralynn finally taught me something."

The other girls laugh. Kalina comes inside.

"Wow! You look amazing Bianca." Kalina said.

"Thanks." Bianca says as she gets up from her seat and kisses Kalina.

"You guys should get married right now." Stacey said.

"Hey! We don't need to discuss that." K'lynn said.

"I'm just saying, you two are goals."

"You should've moved to Miami a long time ago Kalina." Mya said.

"Yeah. That way Harper would already be in a ditch." Sophia said.

"Guys, can we please not talk about her?" Bianca said.

"Right. Sorry. Tonight is gonna be a Harper-free zone." Sophia said.

The girls overhear Annika on the microphone.

"Ladies and Gentleman, may I have your attention please. First of all, I wanna thank all of you for coming. Tonight, we are celebrating a very special lady, who is my daughter. She has been swimming for 5 years."

Everyone claps.

"I never thought she would make it this far. She normally gets bored of something if she does it too much, but during these 5 years she has been swimming her ass off. Everyone please give it up for my daughter Bianca!"

Bianca and the other girls walk her up to the stage.

"Thank everyone. When I started swimming, I immediately thought that I was gonna hate it like the week after."

Everyone laughs.

"But after a month, I just didn't want to stop. I would at least swim for 15 minutes a day. I know what you guys are thinking, what inspired you? Well brace yourselves for this one: Mermaids."

Bianca winks at Kalina as the audience laughs.

"If any of you have kids, ask them about mermaid Melissa."

"My daughter watches her and she's in college!" Someone in the audience screams.

"See there you go!" Bianca said.

Everyone laughs.

"Mermaids played a huge part in the swimmer I am today. Their unique swimming, their pretty tails, and not to mention they're so beautiful."

Kalina blushes.

"For any of you that have kids, make sure that they have something just that's so amazing that drives them to greatness."

Roosevelt walks in.

"Because you'll never know. They can use it to find their true talent."

Everyone claps. The other girls see Roosevelt.

"What is she doing here?" K'lynn whispers to Stacey.

Bianca gets off the stage and kisses Kalina.

"Bianca, look." Mya says as she points at Roosevelt.

"Who invited her?" Bianca said.

Kalina pulled Bianca to the side.

"I invited her."

"What? Why?"

"Why not? Harper was probably planning on destroying my life with those pictures. Thanks to Roosevelt, Harper can tell anyone that I'm a mermaid and no one will believe her. I owe her Bianca."

"I guess you're right, but we'll have to explain that to the others before they kick her out."

Roosevelt walks up to them.

"Congratulations Bianca."

"Thanks."

"I'm gonna go get a drink." Kalina says as she squeezes Bianca's hand."

"I know about what you did for Kalina. Thank you."

"No problem. How are you? Are you ok?"

"I'm fine. Why?"

"Harper lied. She told me that you guys broke up and now I know the real story."

"Oh."

"I can't believe she would do something like that. I kinda knew she was crazy, but not like that. I didn't even know what dominance was."

"I had to write a paper about it. Worst hour of my life."

They both laugh.

The party goes on and half of the party is by the pool. Roosevelt is on the balcony watching everyone.

"Are you sure you don't wanna come down?! The water's fine!" Kyle said.

"No I'm good. Thanks!"

Kyle continues swimming. Suddenly, Roosevelt falls 10 feet into the pool, leaving a huge splash.

"Help! Help me! Help me I can't swim!" Roosevelt screams.

Bianca dives in and saves her.

"Hey it's OK! I got you! It's OK." Bianca says as she carries Roosevelt to safety. Kalina covers her with a towel.

"Are you OK? What happended?" Kalina said.

"I don't know. I was just minding my own business and then all of the sudden I feel something pulling on me, and then I'm in the pool."

"Are you saying someone threw you in?" Mya said.

Roosevelt shrugs her shoulders.

"Who would do that?" Mya said.

Meanwhile, inside the party, Annika is talking to her friends. When she goes to get a drink, she sees someone wearing a mask running out of the building. The masks falls off, revealing her face. She picks up the mask and continues to run.
