"You still haven't told them, have you?"

"Can you keep your voice down." I spoke eyeing around the restaurant to see if anyone noticed. "I'm going to tell them, Ming."

She rolled her eyes and slouched against the chair.

"You said that six months ago."

"I'm just trying to find out how I can go about doing it."

"It's not that hard, Meilani.. You're ashamed of me."

"I'm not baby, it's just that they're very opinionated."

"It doesn't matter. I introduced you to my family and do you think they weren't opinionated?"

"You just have to give me time." I spoke reaching for her hand.

"I gave you enough, time." She snatched away and stormed out of the diner.

I met Ming Nguyen seven months ago in a bar. I went in to meet a male date and left with her number. At first, I thought it would be a wild experience but I ended up catching feelings for her. This was my first time being with a woman and my second time being in love. My promiscuous past never bothered Ming and she always accepted me. I didn't know how I would break the news to my friends and family, so I kept things a secret. How could I tell them that I was a lesbian. More importantly, that my partner was Asian. I just needed time.

My girl Tahlia told me that the club would be packed with celebrities tonight and that I should come though. Since we both would bar tend there, we knew which celebrities would be coming to promote for the club or party. I figured, I would work tonight and take a few pictures with them.

I had been texting and calling Ming all day but she never responded. I finally gave up and got dressed for work, leaving thirty minutes earlier than I would normally. When I arrived, the club was flocking with half dressed women and thirsty ass men. I was sure the tips would be rolling in tonight, after I got them all drunk enough.

"Where the real shit at? You know this shit watered down."

"That's the best we got."

"That's what you tell me."

I laughed and wiped the bar down before I noticed a well known rapper taking a seat. He had women crawling over him all night and this was the first time he was alone.

"What can I get you?"

"Gin and tonic."

I went to fix his drink when I noticed Ming walk up to him and sit on his lap.

"You ready to get out of here?"

"Let me get this drink and I'm right behind you."

She glared in my direction before walking off into the crowd.

"Gotta love Asian pussy." He smirked.

I threw the liquor in his face and he jumped up, wiping it away from his eyes.

"Bitch!"

Tossing my apron off, I stormed out of the back of the club.

It was 4:16 in the morning and I heard someone beating at my door. I crawled out of bed and rushed towards the knocking. When I opened the door, Ming was standing there with tears in her eyes.

"I only did it to make you jealous. Please don't leave me!"

She rushed inside and wrapped her arms around my neck, hugging me tight enough to break my bones.
