Boxing up the last of my things, I heard Danielle talking in the next room before hearing thumping against the walls. Since Dria was working, I knew Danielle was up to no good. I wrapped the belt around my hand and made my way towards her bedroom, quietly. Her mumbling was joined by another voice that was much more masculine. Turning the handle, I pushed the open with my hip and barged inside, noticing a guy climbing inside of her window.
"Get out of my room!" Danielle screamed, trying to push me out as the boy escaped.
"Move Danielle! If Dria won't beat your ass, I will!"
I swung the belt against her butt, causing her to jump, wildly. Since her shorts were small, the belt struck her skin with every hit. Danielle bit my hand and I pulled back as she pushed me down. Pain rushed through my ankle as I fell and Danielle rushed out of the room. The front door slammed as I screamed from the gut wrenching pain.
Thirty minutes later Dria was rushing into the house with Danielle on her tracks.
"Kaidyn! What did Danielle do to you?"
"What did I do? She tried to kill me!" Danielle rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.
I was sprawled across the carpet sweating and crying. I had been in the same position since Danielle had left. The pain was so excruciating, I could barely move.
"Why is her face so red? Is she having a heart attack?"
Dria rolled her eyes and turned her attention back to me. "Where does it hurt?"
"My ankle! Is it... broken, Dria?"
She pulled my pants leg up and examined my foot, carefully.
"Damnnnnnnn! Your foot is fat!" Danielle squealed, while trying to get a closer look.
I began to cry even more while trying to move and take a look. I couldn't believe I was in this predicament.
"Don't panic, Kaidyn. It's not broken just sprained. Danielle go get the wrap out of my bedroom."
"Those look like big feet." Danielle spoke trying to hold back a laugh while running off.
Dria pulled me up and placed a pillow behind me back while Danielle tossed get the wrap to her. My foot was so swollen and red, I didn't want to look at it.
"How long until the it heals?"
She glanced up at me while delicately wrapping my ankle and shook her head. "About six weeks.. You can't walk on it."
"Six weeks? Well I need to go to the hospital."
"Kaidyn, they're going to tell you the same thing I'm telling you."
"I know, I just want to get checked for any STDS because that... she bit me!"
Danielle cut her eyes in my direction while Dria shook her head, sheepishly. "I am so sorry, Kaidyn. How did this happen?" Dria spoke, helping me up from the floor.
"I need all hands on deck!" I screamed to Danielle as she lazed around.
When everything was packed in Dria's car, she took my crutches and helped me into the passenger side while Danielle rolled her eyes. Chantel hadn't been by since the incident with with Dria but she called and checked on me. My new place was an upscale subdivision apartment on the north end of the city. Dria was against me moving out so soon but I needed my own place and I had already signed the lease. The appliances came with the apartment, so the only thing it needed was furniture and I figured I would buy those soon.
