I finally had a day off and I needed it. Trying to raise Danielle and my damn self was stressful enough. After visiting my mom,  Danielle and I picked up Jelincia, well Jelly and headed to the beach.

"Dria, can I ask you something?" Jelly asked as I drove.

"Sure girl. What's up?"

My phone began to ring before she could ask and I threw my index finger up.

  "What Chantel?"

"Dria, shouldn't she get with Jah!"

"Who?"

"Kaidyn.."

"Let her enjoy the single life, Chantel. She just got a damn job."

"Bye!"

Chantel disconnected the call and I placed my phone aside.

I didn't understand why Chantel was so eager to play match maker with Jahleel and Kaidyn. I saw him with so many girls around town, that I lost count and I know Chantel heard about his reputation.

"Okay, so what did you want to ask?" I spoke as I veered left, almost missing my turn.

"Well it's Kaidyn. I don't think she likes me. She always has this attitude when I come around."

"I don't think it's intentional. She's very nice."

"To you maybe, or Chantel but I catch her giving me evils eyes. Do you think it's because of Daniel?"

"No, I just think she has to warm up to you. See, she knows us and we know her. She's just adjusting to everything again."

Jelly shrugged as I parked the car.

"Come on!" I called to Danielle, who had her eyes glued to her phone while bobbing her head. "Danielle!"

When I realized she couldn't hear me, I snatched the earphones out of her ears and she shot me a scowl of irritation.

"What?!"

"We're here. Leave your phone in the car because I don't want you to lose it."

She rolled her eyes and hopped out of the car, removing the shawl that hid her bikini.

"What the hell?"

"Relax, Dria. It's the style" She smiled while twirling around and flaunting her developing body.

"I don't give a damn, cover up!"

She huffed and snatched the shawl around her waist with an attitude.

Jelly and I stretched across the sand on our beach chairs while Danielle walked along the shoreline, kicking water at some boy she must have known from school. The sun was blazing as I closed my eyes and soaked it up before shade grew over it.

"What the-

I opened my eyes and found Cameron standing over me. I sat up and glanced at Jelly who wore a confused facial expression.

"Are you stalking me?"

"This is a public place. Why you gotta go there?"

I rolled my eyes and turned to Jelly.

"We're leaving."

She nodded as I began packing up my things.

"What's the matter with you?"

"Cameron Nicks, that's what! You really need to find a new hobby and leave me alone!"

I stormed away to the women's bathroom, by the snack shack, leaving Jelly and Cam.
