Don't mind this chapter and the next. They're just fillers.

The warm feeling of the sun shone to the skin of your arms, slowly waking you up. You squirmed, feeling the soft sheet over you. Not only that, you felt a cold arm over your waist. You felt soft breathing on your neck and bare skin on your back. You slowly turned your back to face him, only to be surprised by the sight.

Sebastian was sleeping. Literally.

You knitted your brows together, wondering how. "Sebastian?" You called out. He didn't move. Although he looked so peaceful, it was weird to see him sleep, knowing that demons didn't actually sleep. Other than that, you found his sleeping form rather cute and didn't want to wake him up.

You brushed your thumb over his lips before you sat up. "Good morning, love, " Eventually, he did wake up. You looked at him and giggled as you let him lay his head on your lap. It was incredible that you let yourself be like this. Soft and sweet. You never thought you'd be here either, cuddling on a bed with your lover.

You laughed at the way he was so soft on you and dug your fingers to his hair. "I believe you told me demons like you don't sleep." You spoke, glancing sideways. He let out a subtle chuckle, taking your hand and giving it a quick kiss. "I couldn't help it when I'm with you." He said in a soft tone. You jokingly spit your tongue out and pat his back.

"Alright, enough with the cheesy lines. Move." You pushed him off of you as you then got up from the bed, thank god you wore your nightdress after last night. You heard him chuckle. He got up and checked his pocket watch on where he left it. "It's almost time to wake the master." Said Sebastian, starting to suit up. You groaned and wiped your face, "Glad he didn't wake me up by his call,"

Sebastian suddenly scooped you into his arms, which shook you. "Whoa! Okay, just because we did it again doesn't mean you can do this all the time." You smacked his chest. He smiled teasingly, "I can... Someday... And I'm sure one day we'll be awakened by the sound of a crying baby." You mentally gasped at his words, the audacity of this man. You scrunched your nose, "Are you- Stop!- We're not even there yet!!" You pushed yourself off of him.

Feeling heat rising to your cheeks, you waved your hands, knowing that Sebastian noticed,"Just go and handle your kid!" You shooed him. He brushed his suit and left a kiss on your cheek. You grumbled at his actions as he left.

You continued tidying up your room after you cleaned yourself for the day. You dressed, suddenly looking at your reflection in the mirror. A sudden feeling made you looked down at your arm, where your scars were. Taking in a subtle breath, you grabbed clean linen, starting to wrap it around your arm.

You stopped when Sebastian gently placed his hand on your wrist, you didn't even give a thing about how he came back. "Don't think about it, love. It doesn't bother me and you shouldn't be bothered by it either." He whispered sweetly. You casually shrugged, letting out a sigh. "It just reminded me of-"

What he did next shocked you. He bent over, lightly pressing his lips to the marks on your skin. It was short but the feeling lingered. He looked up at you, smiling. "If you ask me, it's a mark of your bravery. You fought back." He said, grabbing your chin with his thumb. He didn't say another word, just leaving a kiss on your forehead before he left once more. You stood there, still processing the scene. Looking down to your arm, you figured it his words, and you smiled.

You unlooped the linen on your wrist, putting it inside your drawer. And then you left.

Your attention was focused on the books that were neatly placed on Ciel's shelf. He asked you to help him out with some of his works, so much for being his assistant. Tracing a finger to the books, reading out its titles, you took one out that picked your interest.

"Why do you have so many books? You don't even read them." You scoffed at Ciel who was behind his desk, scanning every page ahead of him. You checked the insides of the book as Ciel replied, "I would if I have time. I never thought you were a bookworm yourself." He dragged his gaze to you. You shrugged, looking at him. "I wouldn't say bookworm. I've been living in a hell hole, and books were my only friends." Ciel hummed at your answer as he finished on his works, starting to tidying it up.

"Also, isn't your fiance coming today?" You reminded him, which you assumed he forgot when his eyes shot up. He let out a tired sigh, placing a hand on his head. "Right... I hope she's not staying." He brushed off his outfit, walking to the door.

Ciel stopped before you, looking at the book in your hand. "Frankenstein?"

You hummed in question, "Hm? Oh, yeah, Mary Shelley. I don't know. I adore her. I've heard how she's been a bit of... A scandal. But that's not it." You smiled, reading the cover. "I mean, she wrote this book and no one believed how could a woman make such a thing." You spoke up, suddenly realizing you were opening up. You cleared your throat, trying to defuse the tension.

You glanced at Ciel, who raised his brow. "Sorry. I just... Like the book."

"Well... You can keep it." Ciel waved his hand. You lit up at his words, "Wait- really?" He nodded and opened the door. "Take it as a peace offering," Ciel grinned, knowing that his relationship with you wasn't really working out. "Wow... Thanks..." You softly smiled, taking the book as you followed him behind.

Later that evening, Elizabeth came by as told. She practically begged Ciel to spend the evening with her over a cup of tea, typical. As the young couple were enjoying themselves in the garden, you stood by close to them, turning the pages of the book Ciel gave you.

"What do you have there?" Sebastian popped up. You shut the book, putting it down. "A peace offering." You grinned, tapping his chest. He noticed the open skin under your left sleeve. "You're not covering them?" He pointed out. You let out a breathy chuckle, "Yeah... You... We're right... Surprisingly."

You could see the triumph on his face. "Alright, you can cut that out," you pushed him away, crossing your arms. Although, you pondered about it often. Made you questioned why would Sebastian talked you out on that one? Or perhaps, he was just the one?
