As you expected, the night when he went home, Ciel had summoned you to his study. You knew he would talk about something related to his matter. You didn't deny the heavy feeling you had.

And your hunch was right, he brought up the elephant in the room. He talked about how Alois requested him to attend the private ball. And that he had further detailed in the letter that he requested for you to come.

You released a sigh, biting your thumb as you looked out the window. You hated how an invitation as such frightened you. It was not the child you feared, it was the demon who guarded him. Just thinking of him sent a shiver down your spine. You felt like your knees ave up on you but you fought it back.

Ciel brought up the letter, looking back at you. "You see, Y/n. He had specifically requested this. If I say so myself," he paused, eyes back to the paper. You turned to him as he continued, "I don't want to go either but... I want to get my revenge."

Your eyes slightly widened at that. He had told you that he discovered that Trancy was the one who was responsible for the deaths of his parents. You could see the determination he had, and you had always admired that. If it weren't the respect you had for this young Earl, you would say no.

You sighed, keeping your mind straight. "Fine... I'll go with you." You answered. Ciel glanced at you, nodding his head. "... Thank you, Y/n. I know it's hard for you, believe me."

You released another heavy sigh. "I can manage. Just don't do anything stupid." You said, walking past his desk. He moved his chair, following you. "I'll try not to."

You thought about the upcoming meeting as you left his study. You were lying if you said you weren't scared. Because of that demon. He was vile.

You grasped your head, the headache wouldn't stop. You remembered the last time you encountered him. If it weren't for Sebastian, you were done for. Your hand made its way to your left wrist, finding your scar mark. The horrible things he'd done, the dark memories went past your head.

You wanted to end your terror. You wanted to be free from those. You gathered the strength you had for tomorrow, pushing all the fear down below as you hoped. You hoped you were able to get past it.

>>> Meanwhile...

The two reapers wandered off the night, on their way to their duty. "That's the last one for today," Caroline said, swinging her spear over her shoulder. She marked the last victim for the day, putting away her list as she turned to her partner. She huffed a breath, seeing him fiddling with his list. He seemed troubled as if he discovered something horrible

"Why the long face?" She said, approaching him. Grell handed the list to her, not saying a word. She raised a brow, taking it from his hands.

Her eyes expanded on seeing the face on the page he'd shown. "Y/n L/n..."  She read.

"That is the list for this week." Said Grell taking back the book. He flipped the pages, refusing for this to be real.

"She's in the list..."
