"I shouldn't be jealous, you aren't even mine."

~ ❀ ~

The bells rung loudly, reminding Jungwoo that classes were over, he started keeping his things, putting his notebooks inside his bag. He stood up and started walking out of the door, he was about to look for that certain brown-haired taller male before another male blocked his view.

"Hi, Jungwoo." Hyunjae smiled, standing close to the shorter, who smiled lightly, and stepped back, keeping a safe distance between them. "I didn't know that you're an underclassman."

"Ah," Jungwoo chuckled a̸w̸k̸w̸a̸r̸d̸l̸y̸. "Me too." Jungwoo was obviously uncomfortable with Hyunjae, but the taller looked unfazed from how the shorter was acting around him.

"Wanna have lunch together?" The elder asked confidently, shocking Jungwoo from the straightforwardness. And Jungwoo, being the innocent teenager he is, didn't know how to reject someone's invitation properly.

"I..." Jungwoo trailed off, his eyes catching sight of those three running out of their room, his eyes lit up when Yukhei, and the two looked at him, he almost pleaded them to help him, and good thing Yukhei did.

"Are you with someone?" The elder asked, looking behind him, meeting eyes with Yukhei and his friends, Yuta who was looking at him with hatred and Minhyung who looked at him in annoyance. "Oh, with them?" Hyunjae looked back at Jungwoo, who was still contemplating on what to do.

"Yes..." He said, avoiding Hyunjae's face of disappointment, but the taller still smiled.

"Maybe tomorrow, okay?" Hyunjae smiled, slightly leaning down to meet Jungwoo's eyes. "Please have lunch with me tomorrow. I'd really like to know you more, Jungwoo-yah." The elder said, patting Jungwoo's shoulder which made the shorter flinch. "Bye."

Hyunjae walked away, waving at Jungwoo, who still had the attitude to wave back. When the elder was nowhere in sight, Jungwoo looked at Yukhei, who had an expression that Jungwoo couldn't put his finger on. He was about to speak when Yukhei walked to him, too close.

"Are you going with that guy tomorrow?" Yukhei asked sternly, looking directly into Jungwoo's widened eyes.

"I-I guess not." Jungwoo answered, still fazed by the taller's reaction. Yukhei's reaction softened, before he sighed audibly. "I-Is there something wrong?"

"I..." Yukhei trailed off, looking away from the shorter. "Nothing." The taller said, before glancing one last time to Jungwoo.

"I... I wasn't thinking about accepting his offer." Jungwoo whispered, trying to disregard the weird feeling inside his chest. It was different from the feeling he had when Yukhei held his hand, this feeling was worse. Much worse. If that hurt his chest, this one hurt even more. "Because I... Thought that you wouldn't like it."

Yukhei looked straight into Jungwoo, who had his head down.

"Why would I even be in this?" The taller said, before walking away, leaving Jungwoo, whose heart was still aching. The shorter raised his hand up, pressing it on his chest where his heart was.

It's fine. He whispered, before turning around, seeing his friends walking towards him like they always did. He put his aching chest aside, and smiled, greeting his friends as they walked towards the cafeteria.
