"Dying to know. Afraid to find out."

~ ❀ ~

The colors of the surroundings were ranging from red, orange, yellow and brown. All of the leaves just sitting atop each other as the air around them blew, cool and crisp. Whispers were audible, whispers, murmurs, mutters and comments, and Jungwoo were letting them all get into his head. Little by little, he could feel himself falling, falling into the same shell he'd hid himself in, long before Yukhei came.

He was distant now, for the past week, his friends had been making up excuses so him and Yukhei could get some closure, but Jungwoo would always dodge their advances, and walk away, leaving his friends and Yukhei baffled at his actions. Honestly, Jungwoo wasn't angry. No, he's feeling betrayed. He wanted to talk to Yukhei, to talk the issue out. But he couldn't find the courage to.

The wind blew hard, the leaves being taken with them, Jungwoo looked up, the trees that were almost dead, looking magnificent. He closed his book and just stared at the sky, he huffed a deep breath and stood up, collecting his things as he swung his bag on his shoulder. There was something itching in the back of his mind, but he didn't know what it was, so he neglected that.

It was a Friday, and all the teachers had a meeting, so last period was free. He walked back inside the school building, and started getting stares from other students again. He ignored them, like he did for the past week. Jungwoo turned the corner, and saw the lockers, but students were huddled in one particular locker. What is it now? He sighed, before nearing his locker completely.

"Uh, can you please move for a second?" Jungwoo voiced out, the students dispersed, acting like nothing happened. The brunette frowned, looking at his locker. What the? He saw a note sticking to the door, he ripped it off and read it. "Do you remember what day it is?" This made him frown even more, he looked around. Who the heck left this?

Folding the paper neatly in half, Jungwoo shoved it inside his pocket, before opening his locker, his eyes widening at what fell from inside it. A mix of purples, reds, and blues. He looked down on his feet, all the colors pooling on his shoes, he stepped back, shaking off the material that clung on his shoes.

"What's this?" Jungwoo whispered, slowly looking up at his locker. His books nor notebooks weren't there anymore, instead a lilac colored box was placed inside his empty locker. "Is this a joke?" He whispered again, nearing the box, he pulled it out, and saw a picture taped on the back of his locker, just by looking at it he felt his cheeks burn.

No way. He thought, while he clutched the lilac box, he took a deep breath before opening it. It was full of chocolates, small figurines, and small stuffed animals. In the middle, was a messily folded paper, similarly colored to what Jungwoo found on the door of his locker. With a deep breath, he reached for the letter and pushed the box inside his locker again, before opening the paper.

"Oh, come on, Yukhei. Just fucking write something!" Taeyong scolded, Yukhei laughed slightly, tapping the pen on the paper that was still blank.

Instead of walking around and causing trouble, they were sitting down in the cafeteria, which was slightly deserted, probably because students were busy chatting, while waiting for the guards to let them out the gates. Meanwhile, Yukhei and his friends were still stressing the fuck out.

"Yukhei," The said male looked up, his eyes meeting a pair that he once hated. The other placed the lilac box on the table, as well as a few brown paper bags. "How dumb are you to leave those inside your car?"
