"I try not to miss you, but in the end, I still do."

The cold stung Jungwoo's skin, making him open his eyes. He sat up, and stretched his arms over his head, looking around as he yawned. What time is it? He looked at his alarm clock and his eyes widened when he saw the bright red digital numbers that said 8:15 PM. He looked at the window, the sky was dark already, some stars glinting in the distance.

"How long is that one hour, Jungwoo?" The boy whispered to himself, rubbing his face with his hands. He stood up, and took a quick shower, taking his time to clean the wound up, and wrap it in another roll of clean bandages.

He walked out of his room, fully dressed, a white shirt, and a pair of black sweatpants, he was cautious yet again. His Mother might scold him again, for not attending class like she told him. But when he saw the house empty, he felt like celebrating. There was a note on the table, and Jungwoo picked it up, and read it.

"Buy your own food." Jungwoo read aloud. He looked back at the table, seeing a few bills under the vase. The teenager shrugged, taking the money, feeling his stomach growl. He ran up and put on a jacket, as well as shoes, then walked down again.

He locked the door and got hit by the cold breeze of the night, the lights looked beautiful, as well as the decorations hung around. Jungwoo started walking to the convenience store nearby, taking his precious time as he enjoyed the scenery. When he got there, he greeted the old lady that owned the place, smiling and bowing as he entered.

Jungwoo quickly got the food he wanted to eat, and started walking to the section where you can buy the medical supplies, grabbing a few rolls of bandages as well as ointments for his bruises, but when be looked back, a familiar face was staring at him in shock.

"Why weren't you at school?" The brunette asked hurriedly, nearing the shorter, and looked at his face, immediately frowning. "Answer me."

"I... To be honest, I just fell asleep." It was true, he slept all day. Yukhei frowned, licking his lip as he looked at the huge bruise on Jungwoo's face. "I'm buying this," The shorter raised the same exact brand of the ointment Yukhei bought for him, smiling a bit. "If that settles your worrying."

"Does it still hurt?" Yukhei asked, putting Jungwoo's hair away from the shorter's bruised cheek, but Jungwoo looked the other way.

"Not anymore." Jungwoo lied, even now, he could still feel the sting of his Mother's hand as she scolded him for telling his friends that his Father died years ago.

"You're about to go home after this, right?" Yukhei sighed, making Jungwoo nod. "Then, let me walk you home." Jungwoo gulped, but nodded nonetheless. Feeling his heart beat increase from what Yukhei said. He's just walking you home! Calm down!

Jungwoo and Yukhei walked to the counter, Jungwoo smiling at the old lady who scanned the things he bought. The shorter tried not to look at her in the eyes, and looked at a certain direction so she wouldn't see the obvious bruise on his face. But when he was about to pay for the things, he accidentally used his left hand, his bandaged wrist on full display. Wow. I'm dumb.

"Still doing it?" The old lady asked worriedly, taking Jungwoo's money and giving him the change. The shorter teenager rubbing his left wrist, stretching his lips to the side, embarrassed. "I hope you'll be fine, hon."
