"It takes grace to remain kind in cruel situations."

~ ❀ ~

For the past few days, Jungwoo had never felt so cared? Loved? Adored? He couldn't find a perfect word to describe what he was feeling. It's like being close to protected but being close to freedom too. He never even thought that he would have these kinds of emotions, then came Yukhei.

The man that showed him life is worth living. The taller didn't leave his side for days, refusing to leave Jungwoo for classes, but the shorter would always assure him that he'll be alright on his own. Jungwoo wasn't sure what happened to Hyunjae, but according to his friends' news, Hyunjae got suspended.

"You alright?" Yukhei's voice suddenly pushed Jungwoo off his train of thought, the shorter slightly startled.

"Fine." Jungwoo smiled slightly, continuing their walk towards the cafeteria.

It was just the four of them again, Yukhei, Jungwoo, Yuta and Minhyung. They were pretty sure the others were at the cafeteria already, so they didn't bother looking for them. Jungwoo was feeling something again, he stopped walking, making the three stop too, he slowly looked around, looking for eyes that were trained on him, and when he did, he wasn't sure anymore.

The male didn't look harmful at all, but the weird feeling didn't go away. The other male saw Jungwoo looking at him, making the other look away quickly, almost snapping his neck. Jungwoo frowned. Why though?

"Jungwoo," Yukhei's voice came again, cutting off Jungwoo's thoughts, the shorter blushed in embarrassment before continuing to walk again. "What was that?"

"I... I felt weird." Jungwoo answered, rubbing his arm slightly out of habit again.

Yukhei met eyes with Minhyung, who was also quite confused. Yuta on the other hand, was looking at the male, while they were walking. The other male was shaking in their gaze, which made the three frown. And like telepathy, they had a plan stocked inside their head already.

Jungwoo's class was dismissed early again, so when he walked out of his room, bag slung on his shoulder and his notebook out, he peeked inside the room next to theirs. And when he did, Yukhei's eyes met his immediately, making his eyes widen.

He stepped back from the door, blushing furiously as he breathed slowly. A chuckle made Jungwoo turn around quickly, Yukhei walking out of his classroom, grinning widely at Jungwoo, who blushed redder.

"Dismissed early?" Yukhei asked, looking inside Jungwoo's empty classroom, the shorter nodded, looking away.

"You don't have to wait for me today." Jungwoo spoke, Yukhei frowning. The taller was confused. "I'll do something in the library and that'll probably take an hour."

"Oh," Yukhei nodded slowly, contemplating whether to accompany the shorter or do as he said. "I'll just wait for you."

"I just said–"

"It's fine." The taller insisted, smiling at Jungwoo, who was staring at him in annoyance and in astonishment.

"Aish, fine." Jungwoo groaned, making Yukhei chuckle again. "I'll go there now."

"Be careful." Yukhei said sternly, looking straight into Jungwoo's brown eyes, which made the shorter's heart beat quicken.
