Janey was not allthat surprised with her success with Nancy. A few nights later shehad another interview with the Dragon Council and there learned a fewthings about teaching the development of psychic ability. It was justin time because Jason showed up on her doorstep after dinner onThursday.

"Hi, Mrs.Richardson, um, Janey is expecting me." He said shyly as Mrs.Richardson answered the door.

"Fine, your nameplease?" Gail smiled.

"Um ... JasonBarrister."

"Oh, are youCathy Barrister's son?" Gail moved aside to let him in the livingroom.

"Yeah, that'smy mom's name."

"Cathy and Ihave served on the street fair committee a few times. I like yourmom." Gail said as she indicated Jason should seat himself and shewent to get Janey from her room.

"Janey, JasonBarrister is here, he said you were expecting him?"

"Oh, ah, yeahMom, he's got some psychic abilities and wanted to know if I couldhelp him fine tune them. May we use dad's office if he isn'tthere?"

"I think hewon't mind." Gail answered as they walked back to the living roomtogether.

Jason stood whenthe ladies came in, but his hands were nervous.

"Would youchildren like some refreshments?" Gail offered.

"In about anhour mom may we have some cheese sandwiches and warm milk?"

Janey asked.

"A bit late forthat much protein, Janey."

"Yeah, but I'llneed it I'm sure, so I'm guessing Jason will, too."

"Alright; Jasondo you prefer the sandwich cold or would you like it grilled."

"Don't go toany trouble on my account, Mrs. Richardson."

Gail didn'tactually ask but looked to Janey, who smiled shyly and asked forgrilled.

The kids went toJaney's dad's home office. It is a pleasantly paneled room withan extra couch and chairs beside the huge desk and computer array.

"Wow, your dadhas a lot of computers." Jason admired.

"He's a webdeveloper, he's usually doing three different things on each screenbut he can run them all from one keyboard." Janey answered as shesat on the sofa and indicated that Jason needed to sit next to her.

"Tell me alittle bit about your experiences. First of all how old were you whenyou realized you could know the future?"

"That's easy,I was six. It was traumatic. I told my mom that I saw GranpaBarrister sitting in our living room waving goodbye to me. She toldme I must have been dreaming, then an hour later we got a phone callthat he had died. He was sick, cancer, but no one expected him to diethat day. I remember seeing mom's face fall when she got the newsthen she looked at me with a sort of frightened look. It was her lookthat I remember most; like she was afraid of me. She told me thatGranpa had died five minutes after I told her I saw him in our livingroom. After that, I kept the visions to myself most of the time, unless there was something I could do about it."

"Tell me aboutone vision you could do something about."

"I was aboutnine ... out playing with Tony and Peter ... we were sharing a bike, taking turns for a ride. We found a box and a board and we werejumping the bike up the board on the box and off ... I had a flash ofPeter losing control of the bike when it landed, the chain fell off,and he couldn't stop so he rode it across the intersection and gothit by a car. I jumped his turn and just rode the bike in a circleuntil the chain fell off and I crashed to the pavement. It savedPeter's life."

"And you tookthe heat for jumping Peter's turn; you never explained why you didit?"

"You are theonly person who knows about it."

"You told us, inDC that you knew the class would be safe, that I, specifically, wouldsave everyone. Tell me about it."

"It was actuallya dream the night before. When we were walking, I didn't rememberat first but as soon as we hit the circle, it came back to me. I sawour class walking across that circle and there was like this lightover you, then it was like slow motion I saw the car, the guy wasdead, not just unconscious, and I saw like heat waves coming fromyour hands. This wall of energy ... it was sort of blue/white andstaticy, build into a two meter high, four meter wide wall and thecar crashed into it. I watched as the bumper and front end of the carcrumpled like an accordion then I saw you pass out and fall in slowmotion, as you went down the wall just dissipated."

"And in realtime it happened just like that?"

"Except for thenimbus of light; that wasn't there. Or, maybe because it was such abright day, I couldn't see it. Janey ... there's somethingelse I think you should know. If you had chosen to bend time and letthe car through the intersection, it would have killed a lady with anew born baby in her arms. My dream showed me both possibilities. Yousaved that baby too and that was significant for some reason."

"Why do you saythat?"

"In the dream, Isaw angels around this baby and they were in a state of praise. Thatchild is going to grow up to be someone really important."

Janey turned herface to one of the chairs at an angle to the couch; the chair whereZelistuck was observing.

"Was this one ofthe things that was 'significant' that I was needed to do?" Sheasked the dragon, mentally.

"One of them, yes. Your PK wasn't going to be developed in time withoutinterference."

"Guidance,Zelistuck, guidance. I don't consider you interfering in my life, just giving me direction which I think I needed."

"Janey ... Idon't know what kind of animal it is, but I know you have aninvisible pet or something that you can understand." Jason said.

Janey's headsnapped back to his direction. "Can you see or sense her?"

"I can't seeanything ... I don't really know how I know it's in that chairbut I do. It's not anything I can pin down. I can't see her, orhear her ... somehow I just know something is there and it isn'thuman."

"Janey, hewould be called a sensitive. His spirit knows I'm here but he can'ttranslate it into physical sensations. I think what you best canteach him is to open his chakra system." Zelistuckprovided.

"OK ... well,I'm not a prophet ... I only usually have a few minutes to doanything, but that's more because of exceptional hearing and aquick mind. However I have been trained to train you, Jason. Thereare energy centers in the human body called chakra you have hundredsof them ... sort of the points that are manipulated by acupressureand acupuncture, but mostly it's all run by seven centers thatexist in the core of the body and head."

"I've heard ofthis. Before I asked you to help me, I was secretly looking onlinefor any kind of help."

"Cool! Thatmakes this easier. I want you to find a site on chakra balancing anddo the exercises. Also I want you to keep a journal. Use a regularblack and white notebook, less likely to make any eyebrows move.Don't put anything on it for a title just your name. That will keepyour gang out of your hair."

"So that's itfor now, just the chakra meditations?" Jason seemed disappointed.

"That's justthe first step, Jason. You have to get the energy in your bodyaligned correctly for us to be able to do anything else. Find a setof exercises you can do, and do them ... daily ... come back nextThursday, same time. But, even more important is the journal. I can'tgauge your progress without it."
