Once they were settled in their seats and the plane was in the air, Magnus and Janey excused themselves from the rest of the group and she told him about visiting the Akashic record and talking to the librarian.

"If I can get into Miss Girardeau's mind, I might be able to get her psyche to catch up to the beautiful, accomplished woman she is and leave that awkward child behind."

"But you are not a telepath, Janey."

"No ... but I can do something. I can dream walk her mind."

"You know how to dream walk?"

"Not at the moment, but I can learn before next Friday." Janey said staring at Zelistuck who was sitting opposite her.

"Janey ... I've often caught you concentrating on something or someone I can't sense. I don't think it is an affectation of how you process things. Is there another entity in the room with us now?"

"Yes. My guiding spirit."

"It isn't human is it?"

"No. I assume you surmise that because when I look at a chair I'm looking closer to the seat than the top of the back. She's usually pretty small."

"Usually?"

"She can make herself appear any size she needs."

There was a protracted silence for a short time and Janey was monitoring herself to be sure Frost wasn't in her head.

"Is your guiding spirit a dragon by chance?"

Before she answered that she looked at Zel who nodded she could now reveal the truth. Zel was sitting next to Frost and had been reading him.

"There's nothing of chance about it. Yes, she's a Locus Dragon."

To Janey's surprise there were tears in Frost's eyes.

"Mr. Frost? Are you alright?"

"You've just confirmed something I've always felt was true but could not prove even to myself."

"That dragons are real?"

"That they aren't evil. I've known they were real since I was a very young child but my parents were of a fundamentalist frame of mind and their pastor was a very charismatic man who had total sway over his congregation. He said all variations of dragons were disguises of Satan and when I told my mother I had a little friend who looked like the dragon in one of the school story books they took me to this insane person and he literally beat and starved the demon out of me. I lost my psychic sight forever from that."

Zelistuck then did something Janey never saw her do before; she flew up to sit on Frost's shoulder and started singing in his ear.

"Well, I can understand how that dampened your sight, but it wasn't forever. Zelistuck, that's her name, told me that dragon companions only come to incarnate dragons. If you saw a dragon when you were a child it is because you are dragonkin, yourself. She's on your shoulder right now setting right what that man set wrong."

"I lost all mypsychic abilities for years because of that man. What he did to me. This is the biggest reason I want to get to the Indigo, Rainbow and Crystal children in dysfunctional homes or institutions and get them away from these ... idiots. To destroy such a gift simply because you, yourself, are an ignorant fool is beyond redemption." Frost said bitterly.

Janey couldn't help herself, she wasn't especially empathetic but the look of loss and fear on his face made her hug him.

"Magnus, it will be alright. You'll see again." She whispered in his other ear then she also began Dragon Singing to him.
