The damsel settles on her blanket with her back to me, but then looks my way and uses a hand gesture to suggest that I also flip away.

Once lying some distance away and back to back, she whispers "The gaze of a woman is considered the window to their hearts. When travelling, it is best to keep faces away during sleep. So others do not become confused. Warrior Women are an exception. Their hearts are closed by nature and vows."

I fall asleep quickly on the thick soft blanket.

I lightly hear in the early morning hours the sounds of my travelling companions still sleeping.

It lets me ponder the vivid dream of last night.

" There sways in breezes, arboreal shoals. Wafting at the peaks of forests where leaves seek the highest position.

A scene of deepest dark and inky teals. Dark little leaves that push out.

Growing with a twin partner, back to back.

Then two more join, one to each side. Making a sheath of the four leaves.

Within is a growing bulge and my attention is drawn.

It swells within until the leaves turn to show.

A purest black orb of absolute smooth reflection.

A wondrous device that show all the scene.

Then within is movement, and pearl splits the outer part. Just the way the leaves drew back.

There the black inward part is revealed in unwrapping.

Two blackbirds creating a sphere with encircling wings.

Each stepping back to stretch perfect wings. Raising tall to fluff the breasts and regard the other with satisfaction.

They perch to the wedding nest, devoted to life's new generation.

A happy scene that pleases me in ways I adore.

Many thousands of them abide in the canopy of gentle brushing limbs.

I am shocked when my own glassy sphere parts around me.

I want to tell them of my every delight in this life's grand inception.

I move to speak and what comes out is "peep!".

The twittering giggles travel far and wide.

The birds say 'Oh what an unusual bird to arrive from far away.'

Every new life here says 'Please feed me. See my open mouth, please put something in.'

You dearest alien have depth in speaking your delights.

You are one of us. We say it true.

Call to us, and we will listen."

When I open my eyes, I see the little bird from last night, so I ask it if came to remind me whose place I was a guest to.

It made no regular territorial moves, just flying away after a surprising 'peep!'.
