Chaptèr 10

Hiccup's POV.

I got on Toothless and flew off. Dad makes me so mad some day's. I told him what Heather told me and I told him my plan for it. He said he has what I need but he won't let me do it.

After that I got pissed and flew off. I needed to make sure though what Heather said was true. Is his army so close?

I got things and left. It's a 2 day trip on dragon to her home. By sea it's 2 months due to the currents. If she was telling the truth than he has to agree to my plan. I won't let anyone get hurt.

I didn't the first battle. And I won't the last battle. Not one person in my village will die or suffer if I can do anything about it. So I left for the trip. I just hope Astrid won't get mad. Well I'll see when I'm back...

Astrid's POV.

I've been looking for Hiccup for hours! I'm getting really worried. I mean I haven't seen him so mad since he saw what Lankton did to me.

That was scary. I'm worried though. If he is in that type of state than he might be reckless. I don't need him hurt. But than again he has Toothless.

"Gaahhhh!!"

I hate when I can't find him. It's hard. After it got late I went home. I stayed up in bed hoping to hear him come in. After I didn't hear the door by 2 I fell asleep crying.

-the next day-

I woke up to the sound of the door closing. I got up and ran downstairs yelling

"Hiccup!!"

When I got there it was just Hearher.... Why is she here? What does she want?
Than she spoke up first

"Still haven't seen Hiccup?"

"Uh... Maybe.."

"Astrid nobody has. Not since he and Stoick had it out."

"Well I don't know where he could possibly go. I checked everywhere on the Island. Even our spots.."

"Oh.. Well I'm sorry. If that helps..."

"Thanks.. I need to find him though."

"I know."

We sat down and are together and fed Stormfly. After that we went and asked Stoick if he has seen him. Yet all he said was

"Sorry Astrid, I haven't seen my boy since yesterday. When we disagreed."

After I heard that I got more worried. I mean how could he leave me without telling me? I'm going to be his wife in a few weeks. I need him here.

I looked around again but still to find nothing. At least Heather was nice enough to help me. She was a second pair of eyes for me.

Than we came across the twins. Hopefully they have seen him. So I asked them

"Hey Ruff, Tuff, have you seen Hiccup anywhere? I haven't seen him since yesterday..."

Than Ruff spoke up

"Uh actually.... I can't recall.. Who is the Hiccup?"

"You know something, don't you?"

"Who me?"

Than Tuff spoke up

"Hey didn't we see Hiccup grab a bag and fly off? He looked pissed.."

"HA I knew you knew something! Where did he go?"

Ruff spoke up after that

"West. But we don't know where..."

"Thanks!"

After that Heather and I got on Stormfly. As we got to my house Heather spoke up

"Astrid. I think it's a good idea to stay.... You don't know exactly where he is... He could be anywhere.."

"What if he needs me?"

"Astrid. What if you get lost? What if he comes back to you missing? You missing him for a few days won't be as bad as him losing you forever!!"

I couldn't argue with that. I wouldn't admit it but she is right. I would feel terrible if we both couldn't see each other.

After I thought about it I finally said

"Fine.... It's no fair though.."

"Nobody said it would be fair.. But this is what it is like being a wife and girlfriend. So endure it!"

"Well fine. How do you know so much about being a girlfriend and wife?"

"Because it's how I look at things!"

Ok I guess she might be right. I'll wait. I'll be a good girlfriend and wait for him. Even if it kills me inside.

Than after that we sat inside with Stormfly and talked. I cried and and Heather would be by my side. It was weird with her here. It was nice though.

-2 days later-

Hiccup's POV.

Well I've finally gotten into seeing distance of Heather's island. As I got closer I could see fires. The closer I got the more vivid it was. Fires, broken homes and a few dead Vikings.

It was terrible. Just mutilating. I couldn't believe my eyes. How did Heather and her family get out of there so soon?

After I saw that Toothless and I turned around and flew off. We couldn't stand looking at it. As we flew away I heard yelling

"A Night Fury! Get him!"

We flew off as quick as we could. I felt a pain in my right upper back but we got out of there. As we started flying back we stopped at the island we stayed at the day before.

As I got off Toothless I felt an arrow sticking out of my right shoulder. I broke the arrow shaft off and left the rest. I need to get home for Gobber to heal me. I just hope that I get home safely......
