Hiccup's POV.

Last night was great. Astrid and I had a perfect time and a beautiful evening. She even got me to stop thinking about mom...

We got home around midnight and went to bed. I just woke up, and it's about 7:30. I got my armor on and went to go scout out the enemy. See if they got closer.

I didn't bother to wake Astrid up to tell her so I left. I flew hours out and spotted about 14 ships coming our way. I told Toothless to turn around and go home after. They were about 5 days out yet. Perfect.

By the time I got home it was 2 in the Afternoon. I walked in the house to yelling

"HICCUP HORRENDOUS HADDOCK III!!!! WHERE WERE YOU?"

"Checking out our enemy.."

"WITHOUT TELLING ME OR LEAVING A NOTE?"

"Uh....yeah?"

That's when I got punched in the face.

"Ow!! Good lord Odin what was that for?!?"

"You know very well what it was for!!"

"Oh come on!! It's my duty to check on the enemy!!"

"It's also your duty to be a husband and father!"

"I'm not a father yet!"

"You will be soon enough!"

"Oh come on Astrid! I'm home safe and sound right?"

"Yeah.."

"Do you see arrows in me?"

"No.....but you do get shot a lot..."

"Exactly!!! Wait I don't get shot that much!"

"Hicc, you've been shot like 5 times in the past like 7 months..."

"So! It's not my fault!"

"Kinda is!!"

Ok she got me. I do get shot a lot. It's not fun...but still, it's not my fault an arrow accidentally hits me as I fly away..it's their fault.

At that though I smiled and Astrid did to. She knew I was beat. She got me like usuall. So after that ordeal we sat and talked. Astrid asked

"So how many ships?"

"Around 14.."

"How big?"

"Uh..some could hold about fifty troops."

"Oh...well we will make it through. We have dragons."

"Yeah. That's true."

"They have only 1 right?"

"Nope, I took care of that last time."

"Last time?"

"Yeah when bing bang and boom found me."

"Oh... Well if we kill the leader than they should fall."

"That's true, they are savages, they need a leader."

"Exactly, and we have Stoick and you."

"Yeah...."

"What is it?"

"Nothing."

"Hiccup, we have gone through this a lot. I know when something is wrong. Just tell me!"

"No Astrid. I won't. Not till the end of it all."

"Fine."

At that the rest of the day went quick. I helped Gobber in the forge. I ate dinner with my wife. I even actually had a easy conversation with dad.
