Chaptèr 15

Astrid's POV

I woke up at 8 and noticed Hiccup wasn't in bed. It saddened me. But then I remembered today is out day. The day I've waited so long for!!

I got out if bed and hurried to feed Stormfly. When I got down I yelled

"STORMFLY!!! TODAY IS MY DAY!!"

I gave her, her morning fish and started cooking myself. I was humming mine and Hicc's song.

Than the door opened and it was Heather and Ruffnut! They all looked really happy and I squealed! I never do that!

As we were eating breakfast I just kept thinking about today. Than tonight.... This will be perfect....

Than Heather and Ruffnut started looking at me funny. So I asked

"What?"

Ruff spoke

"You have been sitting there smiling for like 10 minutes...."

"What? No I wasn't!"

Than Heather spoke

"Uh... You kinda were..."

"Well just be quiet!! I'm just thinking about today!"

"Ok ok."

After that we started getting dressed. I had about 3 1/2 hours till my wedding. It was at noon.

Before I got dressed though a lot of women from the village came in.... They all were trying to get me ready.

The literally pushed me in a big water tub and washed me. Heather was laughing and ruff was too..

Just that 1 women said

"You know dear, as the wife of a chief, you need to have healthy children."

I turned red at that... Than another said

"Also you must make him happy in the kitchen and the bedroom."

OH MY GODS!!! I was too red now.What is this? I did not ask for their help!! Just than one other spoke

"I think you will make a fine wife. You are clever, pretty and a warrior. Don't listen to them."

After that I was still red but better. She at least saw the things Hiccup likes best about me.

By the time they were done I got dressed and put my hair down. I've noticed Hiccup likes it like that so why not?

Now it's just a little bit of time till I'm with my baby.....

Hiccup's POV.

I woke around 6 and fed Toothless. It was weird being in my dad's house. It's been a few years since I slept here.

I went and ate breakfast myself and started getting the traditional Dragon armor on. No dragon seemed to mind it so that was good.

As I got it on dad and Gobber came in. Here we go. Made started

"Well son. Today is your day! And you look great."

"My thanks dad...."

"Something wrong son?"

"I just wish mom would have seen this."

"Well you mother would be proud. You are a great son."

"Thanks.."

Gobber spoke after that

"Well now 'iccup, after marriage you have just about a year before your chief."

"Thanks Gobber, I really didn't want to hear that.."

"Well it's true! After marriage it's chieftain! Than you have ye own little baby chiefs!"

"Haha yeah. Well I'll worry about that later...."

"Ok ok, you look good though. You look like a true soon to be chief in that!"

"Thank you.."

After that I sat in my house for a while. Than it was time.. I walked to the gret hall and stood in front if dads chair..

As I stood there, I had Toothless by my side, than Snotlout, Fishlegs and last Tuffnut. I waited there just looking for Astrud.

Than I saw her coming in. My heart was racing but it was a good thing. She came in with Stormfly behind her. Than it was Ruffnut and Heather.

As she approached the Stormfly and the other 2 stood at her side like toothless and the guys did for me.

I looked at heard and said

"Astrid. You look amazing today. I love you."

She blushed and said

"Babe I'll always love you. And that armor looks really cute!"

Than my dad started.

Astrid's POV.

I was soo nervous! But it felt so right!! I stood there smiling as Stoick started

"My dearly beloveds. We are gathered here today for my son and his lovely girlfriend Astrid. Every chief chooses his own bride. And my son chose diamond from stone. Now as chief, I am happy to marry my son. But first I must ask, even though it won't work. Are there any objections?"

Nobody raised their hands which was a great thing! Than he spoke again.

"Now by the power invested in me, chief Stoick The Vast, I pronounce my son Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III and Astrid Hofferson one. You are now old enough and fit the requirements to becoming the chief. You may kiss your bride."

After that I pounced in Hiccup! I kissed him passionately and it lasted for ever. By the time we were done everyone was cheering.

Toothless even shot a plasma blast into the ceiling.... Stoick wasn't very Happy. But it was the best thing!

Than we started a feast. My and Hiccup were head of the Table and Stoick and Gobber were at our sides.

The feast lasted a long time. By the time it ended it was around 9. Hiccup and I ate and laughed and kissed. It was perfect.

Gobber even had his band play our song to dance to. It was the best day in my life. After it all we went home.

We got upstairs and I stripped in front of Hiccup. He had his mouth open and I got in bed. He just got undressed and joined..

This day and night was magical. It was great and perfect. The gods were on our side today. And we were just perfect.......
