Chaptèr 24

-next day-

Hiccup's POV.

I woke up this morning to Astrid smiling. I smiled at her. Than I kissed her forehead and started getting out of bed. She lied there sweetly and watched.

I didn't care, we are married. After I got dressed I went up to her and kissed her stomach. Than I said

"I can't wait for you to see your mother and I."

At that Astrid kissed me and got out of bed. She smiled a lot knowing we are having a baby. I mean I was glad I'll be a father.

I'll teach him or her to do everything. Than we'll find them their first dragon companion and friend. I won't nag at them to be chief.

I won't be chief a few years yet either so why would I? It will be great. Our own family. Than I heard Astrid say

"Hello? Are you ok Hicc?"

"Huh?"

"You have been staring at a wall for a few minutes."

"Oh.. Sorry just thinking."

"About?"

"Our family."

At that she smiled bigger and went down stairs to start cooking breakfast. I'm glad we arnt at the stage where she has a large stomach yet. That will be some work.

She started cooking fish while I went to go feed Toothless and Stormfly. As I came in I heard Astrid humming our song. Man she is really excited.

Than I went up to her and asked

"So is Ruff the only one that knows?"

"Mmhmm."

"Are we going to tell anybody else?"

"I might.."

"Than why can't I tell dad?"

"Because he will be all mr. Chief about it."

"Well he is the chief."

"Yeah but still. I just not yet."

"Fine.... You know that isn't fair though."

"How so?"

"You will get to tell people but not me."

"Stop being a big baby Hicc. You get to tell people...just not Stoick yet."

"Your impossible."

"No just Stubborn."

At that she finished making breakfast and we sat down. It was good and we finished. I did the dishes as she sat down.

After about an hour it was 11, and the gang just randomly showed up. An that's everyone. They all came in with big grins. Oh no...

Astrid's POV.

Me and Hicc sat around for a little while and the gang showed up. I didn't mind really until I saw all if them grinning.

Everybody was here. Including Heather and Ashly..... Wait why are they all grinning? I had to ask

"Ruff.... Did you um.... Tell them mine and Hiccup's news?"

"Well Astrid... I might have said something.."

That's when it all broke out. Ashly and Heather started screaming. I don't know why but yeah. Ruff smiled and the guys just all said

"Well Hiccup.. It's all over for you. You have a wife.. A kid soon. Than being chief... Your fun is over."
