Today was our first day exploring Florida, Lauren took us to a street filled with Cuban  culture called Calle Ocho. There is where we ate lunch and spent the day exploring, everything here was pretty cheap I am pretty sure everywhere else is more expensive. I couldn't help but notice that although Lauren was having fun something was bothering her. The whole rides she was very quiet and least bit in our conversions she also didn't sing along with us to random songs.

She looked emptied and lost.

Once we got home I just took a quick shower while everyone else watched a few movies except for her parents. Her mom was cleaning and cooking then her dad was outside relaxing, I wanted to talk to her dad maybe he knew what was going on. This wasn't the first conversation we ever had last night he got to know me and gave living with Lauren approval. I walked out the house and sat on the beach chair next to his.

"Hey Mike did anything happen in the morning because I noticed Lauren was sad although she tried to hide it?" I asked him.

"Yeah I guess Solange and her haven't said anything of what went down this morning. She saw her child's father with this girl named Normani, Solange jumped her I shouldn't be promoting it but she won obviously.  It was hard for her I know she felt it hard even though they haven't been together for like 5 months.", he explained to me.

"Oh I see I wish she had said something so we could of like been there for her or gave her space and time"

"Yeah that would of been good but obviously she didn't want to interfere with your experience here and she can't resist Calle Ocho she always loved going there since she was a little girl" he told me.

"I could tell why it is so nice there y el ambiente está bonito"

"Yeah she also always has loved the beach she could never last long with out going to the beach or the pool. Hopefully she gets over it soon because I know her well enough that she has planned epic things for everyone to enjoy. She is never the one to exclude and she always put her heart into what she does whether or not she likes it. I know I can't protect like before and I gave let her see the consequences of her actions but please take care of her in New York. I know you like her and you live with her if you want the parent stamp this is your ticket" he said and I gasped.

"How did you know?", I asked nervously. 

"I was like you once always looking at the girl of my dreams then she rejected me A and I went for my wife who was like third best", he said.

"Really?", I asked.

"Nahh I am playing, but I've been where you are at in a different way. She likes you too also you came out here to ask me how my daughter was doing either you love her or you want some drama.", he told me.

"I like her well I love her we have known each other for like 2 months and it has been cool being with her. She works so hard even if she pregnant and she does not let it stop her. She goes out of her way to help people I can't believe someone would drop that for a pregnancy ", I said and he sighed.

"Yeah but what can we do? I think you should talk to her not no love things take it slow she will shut you down but like try and make her smile.", he said, I got up went back in to find Lauren.

She wasn't watching the movie with everyone but they told she was in her room. I walked my way to her room hearing slight cries, it hurt a little but I knocked on the door.

"I'm good I'm just pregnant ", she said.

"Can I come in?", I asked.

"Yeah", she said in a sad tone. 

"I heard what happened in the morning  I know you probably don't wanna talk about it but I am here for you however I could be", I said joining her on her bed.

"Thanks", she sighed and just stared at the floor, I wrapped my hand around her and rubbed her shoulder. 

"I know you don't want to hear much right now but I have been in a similar position I could just imagine a quarter of what you are going through but I know I really don't know how you feel it", I told her and she nodded.

"I just can't believe it I gave him so much I was committed and he walked away so easily. Then Normani I was kind to her even when she rude I told her and she too betrays me", she said tearing up.

"I know it hurts just let it out accept it but don't think they are winning because they have already lost whether they see it or not, but you are winning", I hugged her and she continued to cry.

"I wish I never fell for him and I wish I could fight her", she said.

"And I wish I could find him and teach him a lesson but it is better we don't do what we wish because their relationship won't last long they are both arrogant and love to show off lovers they get", I told her.

"Yeah they probably don't got our friendship like he never was able to be like my other friends or you we were always slightly distant", she said.

"So how was your relationship then?" I asked curiously.

"It was like we joked de vez en cuando pero more like fighting and supossedly making love each other", she said.

"Ohh"

"But here we are and now I'm not gonna sit here let him ruin my life because you are right well sort of I'm not winning winning but I'm not losing" she said wiping her tears.

"So what are you gonna do?", I asked.

"Well get some ice cream first", she said getting up and stretching "come with me"

We walked downstairs and she pulled out everything that had to do with ice cream then we mixed up and made our bowls of ice cream. Of course everyone joined us and we made a video of it for memories and Lauren's YouTube. She was very smart for that because she makes money and can enjoy life she beat the game. After we were done everyone went back to movie but she guided me to a her old secret hangout.

The window she had opened all the way and led to the roof which had a spot that was flat up. She pulled a string of lights and a little mat then we walked on the roof.

"Now this better", she said eating the ice cream.

"Yeah we got a nice view of the night lights up here", I said looking around.

"This always come in handy when life is hectic I always came up here to relax alone", she told me.

"This is nice out here ", I said then I felt little drops of rain.

"A lil rain don't hurt wait get back in its a storm", she said picking her bowl and pulling the lights in to the sound of thunder.

"Shoot", I pulled the mat and we jumped on get on her bed laughing.

If Lauren wasn't my dream girl before she is now for sure my dream girl I will not let go easily.

"Sorry man la lluvia se vino de repente ", she said and I laughed.

"Parece que va llover , el cielose está nublando, parece que va llover ¡ay¡ mamá me estoy mojando.", I sang and she laughed singing along.

"Welcome to Miami where a trip isn't complete until it rains ", she said.
