It was June 5 and I woke up to feeling a weird pop followed with wetness between my legs.
"OH MY GODDDDD", I yelled joyfully yet nervously. It was followed with the first contraction which wasn't to strong but it was something.
"You good Lauren?", Romeo said knocking on my door.
"Um I feel alright I slept half close to decently I woke up to realize my water broke", I said and he looked at me confused.
"What we should head to the hospital now aren't you about to give birth", he said getting nervous.
"Relax my water just broke but I haven't began really dilating I am just", I paused and took a deep breath "barely getting started plus I need to get labor really going before I can go to the hospital."
"So what do I do what do you need help with?", he asked and I stood up slowly.
"Help me take off the blankets and put them into washer machine", I said pulling up the covers on my bed.
"Okay shouldn't you just rest while I do this", he asked.
"I need to be active it helps with labor", I said I took another deep breathe before walking down the stairs.
"Got it I am new to this please don't take anything as an offense I don't know much", he said and laughed.
"Don't worry I could just imagine my family being 1000 times more on edge" I told him.
We out my blankets in the washer then we made some breakfast and I are whatever I could eat. It was tougher because the contractions were not to far apart they were like 5 minutes apart. I called my parents, my aunt, and Beyoncé obviously my parents weren't going to get here today but Bey and my aunt were coming soon.
I did my regular activities I left the house clean and I made lunch for everyone before it got worse. Once they were like 3 minutes apart we went to the hospital with everything ready. Romeo never left my side it was so sweet and I told Bey to be with her child. I didn't mind her not being she has a small 3 week old baby she needs to be with her daughter.
Camila wasn't here because she was still not ready for the experience and I totally get I saw birth and it isn't the easiest thing to watch. It is beautiful but it isn't for everyone to watch. Everyone was going to see her tomorrow when they come to visit me I hope I go home tomorrow.
"You are 8 centimeters dilated so they baby is almost here you are doing well and so is the baby so you should be having a fast labor", the doctor said.
"You are tough one Lauren yo tuve la medicina para dolor", my aunt said.
"No se como si duele feo pero me aguanto", I said taking a deep breathe.
"This is Lauren the toughest mom no epidural almost there and we are about to have a new roommate", Romeo said with a camera on my face and I laughed.
"Thanks I can't wait aah", I said, it was a half pain and half excitement.
"You can do it any pain squeeze my hand", he said placing a kiss on my head.
"Thank you", I smiled and closed my eyes to take a nap.
The nap wasn't the most successful but when I woke my contractions were worse and non stop. The doctor came into check me again and began feeling like she was coming she checked and I was actually ready.
"Ok are you ready to push", she asked me.
"Yeah I think", I said nervously.
"Just relax and follow my instructions you will be good" she said.
"I got you Lauren", Romeo said reaching his hand out.
"Yo estoy aquí también no te preocupes" my aunt said.
** One hour later
"She sure loves her food", I said looking down at Luna.
"Yeah she is gonna be good eater like her momma", Romeo said looking away.
"Dude there is nothing with looking it's just a boob plus I will be doing this alot", I said and he laughed.
"Yeah I know I just feel it is wrong wifey", I laughed.
"It isn't but I get how weird this is but she is just eating and you could keep your mind out of the gutter", he looked at me blushing and laughing.
"I know but oh my goodness she is adorable", he said and I laughed.
"Okay wait look back away she is done can't see my nip", I said and he turned around laughing "Okay now you can"
"She looks slightly milk drunk", he said.
"Haha she does", I began burping her and she let out some pretty loud ones. I got up and rocked her around the room while singing to her.
"My heart beats a little faster when our eyes meet in the middle of a crouded room In knee deep testing waters got a feeling and don't know what to do You got me paralyzedand I think I like it"
I didn't even finish the song before she was for the count Romeo looked at me and clapped lowly as I set her down in her bed.
"Yasss sing it mi reina", he said.
"Thanks", I whispered.
"I got you this push present and one for little lulu too", he said before give me a box with two moon necklaces he placed a bunny right next to her crib.
"Aww thank you so much", I said hugging him.
"You're welcome by the way your parents are coming on the weekend because this week they were booked. They told me to tell you",
"Okay I can't wait till they see her she is so beautiful", I said getting back in my bed.
"So how you feeling after birth?", he asked.
"I am alright ready to sleep for a while"
"Lets get some rest because you ain't gonna be getting a lot of that", he said and I nodded.
I got into the bed he went to the couch I closed my eyes and I fell asleep instantly, I was so tired from the whole experience. It is so beautiful now I can't believe I am going to be a mom I no longer am carrying she is with me.
