Chapter 14
Keith was a scary guy, I didn't even think I wanted a man like that around my babies. I took his hug and his appology because I knew he meant it. I knew that he was under a lot of stress and the whole Anthony thing comming out of nowhere totally screwed up his entire mind-frame. He was just angry. I got it. But I felt like I was being abused. I was never abused before but it was scary. I know I loved him, I know he is the best boyfriend I ever had, but that was no excuse for him acting like an ass. He pulled away and looked at my face.
"I'm sorry baby. I really am. I just...I was just...angry. It's not like you're my prpoerty or anything but I just snapped. A lot's going on you know." I stared at him and shook my head.
"Keith that's no reason to talk to me like I'm your puppet. I'm carrying you babies. You can't just yell at me like that. And how do you think Anthony feels?"
"Well, i'm a little surprised that you didn't tell him."
"So that gave you the right to be the bearer or bad news?"
"No, look, Cara, let's not fight anymore okay? This is supposed to be a happy day for us." He stroked my cheek and kissed my forehead lightly.
"I love you Cara. I really do. And I love our babies. You guys are my life now. It's just a lot to take in, you know?" I nodded and he smiled. He kissed my lips lightly and told me he'd be right back. I quickly dialed Ava's number.
"Ava! You wouldn't believe what just happened!" I screamed into the phone.
"Uh, this isn't Ava, It's Alex. Ava's kinad busy right now." I sighed loudly.
"Ugh! Put her on the phone Alex!" I heard some noises and she was soon on the line.
"What now Cara!?"
"Me and Keith got into this huge fight, about Anthony, you know, from last summer?"
"Cara, wait I need to say something first."
"No wait, so he flipped out on me and told Anthony I was pregnant and we was really scary Ava, and he didn't look the same or-"
"Cara I'm pregnant!" The phone went qiet and I was in shock and disbelief.
"You're pregnant!? Like with the belly and the puking?"
"Yes."
"Are you sure?"
"I just took the test Cara. Three times a chram right? Third time, positive."
