How to trust the erratic beats
Of their capricous hearts
They spread love in all directions
Passing out from a bottle of love
They fill our empty cups
Like the sun they wake us up
When we are lost in kingdom of sleep
The chase away our nightmares
Become the focus of dreams
Like the sun offer persistant light
We refuse to see what hurts our eyes
They then entrap warmth in the
Chill of our hollow hearts
We warm up to them
Gazing with wonder
And it seems such that in this world
Nothing matters really but us
The shady glitter of love
But these givers of hope
Leave with the sunset and our sun rises
In someone elses garden causing their flowers to bloom like ours did once
Was that really yesterday when
They proclaimed their undying love
When we left behind dignity
Now burdens us our agony
As we are left to salvage the ruins
Of ourselves gathering ashes
This battle of hearts against was
What we had considered the cruel world
Now The knives still prick our skin
The blades embedded upon our hearts
The fog slips out of our minds
And the haze disappears
As they do
Who've ruined our lives
Even though they claim they didn't
We just read the wrong meaning
Misunderstood everything
Slow poison of hate we sip
And all thats left is you and I
The people who were ruined by their lovers
And in our broken houses we hide
Hidden behind the darkest covers
Betrayed by our lovers
Oh lord woe to all the lovers
Let others know better
And whom we stop understand
Cause capricous hearts have no minds
And they only hurt our hearts
Even when they dont mean to
Their hearts dont belong to them
Hearts come and go as they wish
Like tides they can never decide
Whether the moon pulls them closer
Or the sun gets them higher
The sane minded ones
We called ourselves
Fools we were
We played this game
Now we are locked in the cages
Of despair we were warned about
Cages our ribs had built against
The hearts erratic beating
We've been called out of our homes
To be shown as witness
Even though the others will not listen
Spectators warn and ridicule
With whispers they electricute
The spark of love is but a spark
And is gone like a flicker
Of unburdened imagination
Gone for it was never there
Simply imagination
Who to blame in this war of hearts
The ones who loved too much
Or those who couldn't love the same
The ones who held on
Only to let go again
All I know is there are casualities
Innocent suffering pain
All those promise all vain
All for the beatings of this vagrant heart
Till all the chaos fuels the rain
And our lives destroyed by the echoes
Of the thunderstorm of pains
These chains of memories bind us
As love did previously blind us
And now there is no drop of water
As our rainforest has turned to desert
And we keep staring at a mirage
Over the graves of love
In this fallen estate
We ask the same questions again
Till we reach the brink of pain
Or go insane
How to trust givers of love
How to love again
Tell me
How do I trust again
