I stumbled out of the Zeta Tube, hand pressed to my side.

Stupid dracaena.

"You okay Jay?"

I nodded. "Yeah. I'm fine. Just tired. School starts up soon. So I'm enjoying my freedom while it lasts."

Well the slash in my side isn't helping anything.

But the first part is true. School starts tomorrow.

And I get to go to the prestigious Gotham Academy.

On a related note...why are the skirts so short?

They aren't even skorts. They're just plain old skirts.

I mean they aren't that short...but it's still shorter than I'd like.

"Well- Wait. Are you bleeding?!" Megan flew over to me and pulled my hand away from my side before gasping.

"Wally. Go get a medical kit. Now."

"I'm fine." I tried to walk away but stumbled again.

This time against Connor.

"Sorry. But I'm just tired guys. This is just a scratch."

Kaldur frowned. "It will not hurt to take a look at it. We should take her to the infirmary. We should make sure there is not anything else amiss with her health."

Wow.

If he wanted to know, he could have just asked.

Connor scooped me up and carried me to the infirmary...which honestly looks like a mini hospital.

He sat me on a cot and then the door opened.

"There you are. I was hoping to talk to Bluejay before Batman gave you your next mission."

"Black Canary, we-"

"Are you okay?" Kaldur whispered while the others were paying attention to Canary.

"I'll be fine. I've had worse."

I looked up at Canary. "What do you want?"

She shooed the others out before sitting across from me.

"You've been avoiding the Cave."

"I've been busy."

"Doing what?"

"Avoiding the Cave."

She sighed. "You suffered from a tragic event. Which lead to the movie being a catalyst for a flashback. I only want to understand what you need help with."

I stood up and walked to the door, ignoring her protests.

"I know one thing that's true. Showing weakness is never a good idea. I knew that since I was little. Then I relearned it."

And then I walked out and down to the main room.

Where Bruce was of course waiting.

I took my place beside Kaldur.

Black Canary walked over to my uncle and told him something in a hushed tones.

He nodded and them she disappeared... probably off to her little counselling room.

"So what are we doing today Bats?" I fixed my sunglasses...if we have to do anything to strenuous I'll try to heal up a bit.

Man does that sound like I'm in a video game or what?
