Jungkook takes Taehyung inside and leads him directly to his room.

    "Just stay here while I go talk to my mom. Okay?" Jungkook says sitting Taehyung down on his bed.

Taehyung nods but doesn't look up from his shoes.

Jungkook hurries out of the room already bracing himself for what his mother has to say.

    "Jeon Jungkook." His mother snaps appearing around the corner.

Jungkook jumps slightly. "Hey Mom."

    "Hey Mom? Are you seriously going to 'hey mom' me after what you pulled today? I don't want to hear a single word out of your mouth unless it's a reasonable explanation as to why you disappeared with that boy and never came back!" His mom yells.

    "Mom please. I have to ask you something." Jungkook says.

    "Save it. Go to your room. You're grounded." His mother says turning away.

    "Can Taehyung stay the night here? His dad's out of town and he locked his key in the house." Jungkook lies smoothly.

Mrs. Jeon narrows her eyes at Jungkook.

Jungkook smiles knowing that no matter how upset his mother was she would never turn away someone who needs assistance.

    "Fine. But after. Grounded." His mother says.

    "But I also have a reasonable explanation." Jungkook says.

    "Go on." His mother says.

    "That Yoongi guy is an asshole." Jungkook says.

Mrs. Jeon's eyes widen. "Jungkook. You watch your language."

    "It's true mom. And he made me upset so I left. I'm sorry I let him get to me and I'll apologise to dad in the morning for my inappropriate behavior." Jungkook says.

His mother sighs. "Alright. I'll take away the grounding. But I still don't appreciate that and neither does your father."

    "Yes ma'am. Goodnight Mom." Jungkook says.

    "The guest room is already made up." His mother says turning and going to her room.

Jungkook returns to the room and Taehyung sits exactly how he left him.

    "The guest room is right down the hall. But you're welcome to stay with me tonight if you want." Jungkook says.

Taehyung nods. "Can I stay?"

    "Yeah. I'll give some more comfortable pants. You can keep the hoodie. You look better in it than I do." Jungkook says going to his drawer and pulling out some pajama bottoms.

Taehyung smiles a little taking them.

    "You can change in here. I'm gonna take a shower. I'll be right back though." Jungkook says.

Taehyung nods but remains silent as Jungkook grabs his things and goes to the bathroom.

Taehyung's entire body trembles as he changes his pants but at the same time everything feels numb.

He knew what he was in for when he went home.

And he new that his body wasn't even healed completely from the last time.

Taehyung folds Jungkook's jeans neatly and places them on the dresser. 

Taehyung sits against the headboard and pulls his knees to his chest.

Taehyung was scared. He was terrified actually.

He should have just gone home the second he got the message.

Or he should have just lied to begin with.

Taehyung's father hated when Taehyung made new friends.

I guess it was because that adds another person to the list of people who know he's an abusive prick.

Taehyung doesn't know how long he stares off thinking but when he finally refocuses Jungkook's in the room.

Jungkook throws his dirty clothes in the hamper before turning to Taehyung.

    "You okay?" Jungkook asks.

Taehyung nods. "I'm not, not okay. So I guess I am."

Jungkook smiles a little at Taehyung's repeat of the words.

Jungkook lays down next to Taehyung telling him to do the same.

    "Do you want to talk?" Jungkook asks.

Taehyung shakes his head staring at the ceiling.

    "Alright. I'll tell you a story." Jungkook says turning on his side facing Taehyung. "It's a really cheesey story so I won't be hurt if you cringe."

Taehyung smiles and turns on his side to face Jungkook as well.

    "There was this guy. We'll call him...Byeol.  He was perfect in almost every way except one. The one being he didn't know he was perfect." Jungkook starts. "And there's this other guy, Dal, who wish he could tell Byeol how perfect he was every moment of the day until he believed it. But Byeol didn't want to hear it. He would rather hear other people point out his flaws before he'd here Dal tell him he was perfect.

    "Regardless of how many people told the Byeol he wasn't perfect Dal continued to tell him that he was. Even if Byeol told him to kick rocks after he did." Jungkook says. "But once. When Byeol was really down. Dal told him how beautiful he was. And how perfect he was. But Byeol still wasn't listening."

Taehyung listens intently to the story as Jungkook tells it.

    "But then Dal realized what he'd been doing wrong and the next time he saw Byeol he didn't call him perfect. Wanna know what he said?" Jungkook asks looking at Taehyung.

    "Mhm." Taehyung nods.

    "He said he wasn't perfect. He said he was bruised and damaged and that no one in their right mind would love him."

Taehyung frowns when he hears that.

    "But he was so out of his mind in love with him that he'd accept him no matter how bruised and damaged he was. And that he'd mend all the wounds and piece together his shattered heart if it meant he could love him wholly."

Taehyung waits for Jungkook to continue but he doesn't.

    "Then what happens?" Taehyung asks.

    "I don't know. I haven't gotten that far into the story yet." Jungkook says closing his eyes.

Taehyung looks over Jungkook's features and takes in how beautiful he is.

    "I think Dal should know how perfect he is too." Taehyung says. "And I think Byeol should stop being an asshole and not let Dal pass him by."

Jungkook chuckles. "It's all up to you baby."

Taehyung's heart literally skips a beat and his face heats up immensely.

    "Goodnight Tae." Jungkook hums sleepily.

    "Goodnight Kookie." Taehyung says.

Jungkook's features soften as he falls into a deeper sleep.

Taehyung takes the opportunity to brush Jungkook's hair from his face before pulling his hand away.

Somehow despite being afraid for what the morning brings Taehyung manages to fall asleep next Jungkook.

And somewhere along the night they end up wrapped up in each other's arms.

But neither of them minded.
