Chapter 42

The Scandal

Six months.

Six months have passed yet so many things have changed.

In those six months I drown myself in work. Travelling from country to country for magazine photoshoots, runway after runway, and a handful of T.V. and billboard commercial ads. Ah Reum unnie and Maggie decided to tie the knot in between my hectic schedule during the first three months. Chae also finally tied the knot a month after Ah Reum and Maggie unnie.

During those agonizing six months, when my schedule became tighter than before, I had ordered to dig my parents and Han Sung's grave and cremate their body so I can carry part of them wherever I go. Sung Kyung unnie also gave birth to her beautiful son and Hana was more than happy to welcome her baby brother.

Six months yet so many things have changed compare to my two-year hiatus.

I have finally understood the essence of timing. It doesn’t matter how many months or years, when something feels so perfect even in the most chaotic situation then all you got to do is go for it because nothing beats the satisfaction of finally holding your dream.

I understood that yet in six months I am still wallowing in my pathetic misery of losing myself and losing the people that I love thus I push myself on working harder than I used to before.

That only lasted for those six months though because after three trips to the hospital and the drastic weight loss again, Olivia decided that enough is enough and so here I am currently back in Seoul taking an indefinite break until Olivia said so.

A week had passed since I was on break and the smell of spring lingers through the air. Ah Spring! A new beginning. It makes me wonder if I even deserve a new beginning.

Speaking of a new beginning, Min Young is getting married in a month and I am genuinely happy for her. She's finally free from her misery. I also sent Ah Reum unnie and Maggie on vacation so they can have their honeymoon since they never got the chance because of my hectic schedule.

A week break and all I did is binge on the drama where Kim Seokjin starred and watch all his interviews and promotions. He starred in another romantic-comedy drama where he played as a singer who feel in love with a fan turned actress but kept their relationship hidden and fought all the odds for their love . How ironic really.

“To Seokjin-ssi,” the interviewer addressed while his leading lady handed him the mic with a gentle smile on her face directed towards Jin making the very simple gesture turned tad romantic. Of course they have to maintain a damn chemistry but why the hell are they using one mic? Can't the production crew provide at least two mics for their actors? Jesus!

I sigh as I calm myself down from the utterly ridiculous ways of promotion they have to do then I focused my attention back on the screen when I remembered how the industry work.
“the drama was a big hit, the ratings are high and you were praise for your acting, say, what inspire you these days?” The interviewer asked and Jin smiled and thanked the interviewer for the good words before he answered.

“I want to say that my members' marriage, engagement and relationship inspired me in acting my role for I have personally witness their love story unfold but I won't be completely honest if I stop there.” He smiled again as he ponders, probably formulating the right words to answer the question and I literally stopped breathing because what the hell is he up to?

“So what's keeping Mr. Worldwide Handsome inspire these days?” the interviewer pressed, excited for whatever he can squeeze out of Jin.

“My members happy disposition always plays part of my inspiration of course because just like the drama, they were singers who fought all odds to be with the ones they love but I gave my best in this drama because I want to impress someone.” Jin spilled the bean and the interviewer is gladly sipping his cup of tea with Jin's answer while I…well I kinda expected it but I guess I can never be prepared to hear it from his mouth directly.
