A Slice of Destiel

Chapter 10

2 months later

Castiel's dad had gone to visit Raphael during thanksgiving. None of the Novak children wanted to go, due to Raphael's over religious and homophobic manner, and were allowed to stay behind. Castiel spent majority of his time with Dean.  They would go to each other's houses and play video games, cuddle together while watching random things on Netflix, kiss a lot and just overall enjoy every moment together. Currently the two boys are in Castiel's room having a very intense game of Mario Kart.

"DID YOU JUST FUCKING BLUE SHELL ME?!" Dean yelled as he lost his lead to Castiel who was smiling at his victory.

"You're lucky that's all I did. You threw an actual pillow at me to stop me from winning the last round.  I still won so now you have to buy dinner." Castiel replied with a smirk as he crossed the finish line and it switched to the final lap winning screen thing (you know what I'm talking about).

Dean grabbed the controller out of Cas' hand and pinned him to the floor. Cas blushed due to the fact that Dean was now on top of him.

"You're lucky I love you." Dean said before kissing Castiel. Just as their lips met, however...

"I can't believe you've been playing Mari- oh, sorry guys. You should really put a sign on the door or something." Lucifer barged into the room, and rather than closing the door and leaving the couple to their activities, he walks in and grabs a controller as he sits on the bed. Dean rolls off of Castiel and they both sit up.

"Lucifer, I hate you."

"Cassie, don't say things like that."

"Don't call me Cassie."

"Don't say you hate me. Words hurt." Lucifer puts a hand over his heart and wipes away a fake tear.

"You are so dramatic. Why don't you go annoy Michael or something." Castiel asks. Just as Lucifer opens his mouth to answer...

"I just got rid of him. He has spent the last hour reenacting Starkid songs. You can deal with him for a bit!" Michael yells down the hall. 

"DROP THE ATTITUDE MICHAEL! YOU ARE ACTING LIKE GARFIELD ON A MONDAY!" Lucifer yelled back. At this point Dean and Cas had started laughing.

"I swear to- WAS THAT ANOTHER STARKID REFREN-"

"OF COURSE IT WAS WHO DO YOU THINK I AM?!"

The sound of a door closing was heard and Dean and Cas finally stop laughing.

"Are we gonna play or what?" Lucifer says, happy because in his mind, he won that argument. The boys play another few rounds before Dean asks Cas if he wants to head to the diner. The two of them get up and start to walk out of the room.  They stop in the doorway and look back at Lucifer who is now fake pouting.

"It's fine guys, go have your fun. Be young, while you still can. I will stay here, all alone and starving... and old."

"Lucifer you're 20. That's not old. If you want to come hurry up." Castiel says with an amused smile.

"You're paying for your own food!" Dean yells after him as he runs out to the car. Dean follows Lucifer out to make sure he doesn't hurt Baby. Cas walks towards the door but stops when he hears Michael talking to someone in the living room. He walks over to see who he's talking to since Gabriel is out with Sam and some other friends.

"Hey Mike, we're going to the diner do you want to- Dad? What are you doing here? I thought you didn't get back until tomorrow." Castiel says as he walks towards and into the room.

"Nice to see you too Castiel. I couldn't take any more of Raphael's homosexuality is a sin crap." Chuck responded with a smile.

"We told you before you left. Anyway we're heading out, yes we're actually taking Lucifer with us. That's probably a bad idea but oh well." Castiel responded, looking to Michael to see if he wanted to come as well.

"Well seeing as Lucifer is going with you, I'm going to stay here and enjoy the peace." Michael says and Chuck laughs. Castiel says that he'll be back soon and walks out to the car. Lucifer was sitting in the back, trying to convince Dean to watch AVPM. Cas gets in the car and laughs quietly to himself, knowing that Dean already watched it with him a month ago. Dean smiled at Cas and turned up the stereo as they made their way to the diner. When they get there Lucifer gets out quickly and runs into the diner saying something about talking lions. The boys look at each other and laugh before sharing a quick kiss and getting out of the car. The start walking, hand in hand, towards the diner.

Before they were more than a few steps away from the car they heard a loud noise and screams and saw people running out. They started to run towards the diner but stopped when they saw Lucifer through the window, signalling them to stop. They could see what looked like a fire as Lucifer ran towards the door. Dean saw movement and upon further inspection saw that it was Jo, trapped under a fallen table, trying to get out. Lucifer had just gotten through the door and Dean had stepped forward to go help Jo when

BOOM 💥

The diner exploded.
