Castiel leaned in closer to see if he could identify what was causing his car to make that noise. He doesn't know a whole lot about cars, just how to drive them and... that's pretty much all he knows.

"There you are! I've been looking all over for you. What are you doing?" Gabriel questioned as he walked up to the car.

"I started the car and it made this weird noise"

"You don't know shit about cars Cassie. I'm sure it will be fine for now. You can take it to a mechanic later, but right now we need to leave or we'll be late for class." Gabriel got in the passenger side while Castiel closed the hood and got into the drivers seat.

"If we get into a car accident because my car breaks down in the middle of the road, know that it's your fault." Castiel says as he pulls out of the driveway.

"Whatever Cassie, just keep driving."

"How many times do I have to tell you not to call me Cassie?"

Castiel parks his car, gets out and starts heading towards the school.

"What class do you have now Cassie?"

Castiel glares at Gabriel as he says "English, Mr. Shurley.  Did you finish that science paper that you need to hand in today?"

"Oh that... I-" *bell rings* "Gotta go Castiel, I'm going to Richard's house after school so don't wait for me". Gabriel calls over his shoulder as he runs to class, happy that he avoided having to answer Castiel's question.

The school day went by just like most days do. The same four classes he was in yesterday and the same four he will have tomorrow and the next day and the next day until second semester starts. English, math, media arts and biology. All decent classes but Castiel is looking forward to second semester because he has drama and that class is always fun since all you really do is play a bunch of drama games, and since not many people take drama it's a lot better because he knows everyone in the class.

At the end of the day, after saying goodbye to his friends, Castiel walks to his car quickly, hoping that he can get home and watch Netflix before Lucifer can steal the television. He gets in his car, but when he tries to start it up the engine just stalls.

"Damnit!" Castiel gets out and walks to the front of the car and opens the hood. His car is parked away from everyone else so there aren't any cars around him. He runs his hands through his black hair while his striking blue eyes search for a solution.

"Great! This is just freaking amazing!" Castiel starts to take out his phone to call for a tow truck when someone walks by.

"Hey do you need a hand?" Said a green-eyed boy that Castiel doesn't know.

"Oh no, thank you but it's fine I just, have to call a tow truck. My stupid car won't start."  Says Castiel as he subtly checks out the person in front of him. Even if Castiel wasn't gay he would have to admit that this guy was hot.

"Here let me take a look. I'm Dean by the way. Dean Winchester."

"Castiel Novak."

Dean looks at the car and finds what the problem is (A/N I don't know shit about cars so let's just pretend that there was some sort of really simple problem and Dean fixes it). Dean walks over and turns the key in the ignition, successfully starting the car.

"Wow thanks! I don't know anything about cars, you just saved me a trip to the mechanic." says Castiel secretly trying to ignore the butterflies that appeared in his stomach when Dean smirked at him.

"No problem. I love cars. My Uncle Bobby owns a junk yard and I like to go and just fix up cars when I can.  I'll probably be some sort of a mechanic when I get outta here." Dean gestures towards the school.

"You go to school here?" Castiel says trying to figure out how he has never seen this person before. He must be new. Castiel would remember seeing someone like him.

"Yeah, I just started this year. I'm a senior."

"So am I, I've been going here since grade 9." Castiel is wondering whether or not he should offer to show Dean around, seeing as school has only been going for like two weeks and Dean could probably use a guide. He decides to go for it, he could at least try and be friends with this guy. "I could show you around if you think that would be helpful."

"I'd appreciate it Cas. The layout of the building is stupid. I've been late to pretty much every class so far."

Castiel smiles at the nickname that the other boy has already given him. "It's no problem, I'll show you around tomorrow."

"Great. You seem to be like the only nice person here. I haven't really made any friends yet and I'm not an anti-social person."

"Really? Well I guess you and I are friends now." Friends are better than nothing Castiel thinks to himself, at least now he will be able to figure out if he's got a chance.

"Ok, cool. Since we're friends do you wanna go get something to eat? I'm starving. "

"Sure, get in." Castiel gestures towards his car and then opens the car door and gets in the car.  Dean walks around to the other side and gets in the passengers seat.

"Normally I would have my own car here but my Dad asked to borrow it for the day since his broke down and I didn't have time to fix it this morning. It's this beautiful 1967 Chevy Impala. She's my baby." Dean proudly states as Castiel drives out of the parking lot.

"You'll have to show me. Where are we going?" Castiel asked as he realised that Dean never said what he wanted to eat.

"Wherever the closest burger joint is."

And with that Castiel started towards a small diner that not a lot of people went to but wasn't far and served amazing burgers.
