All of the sudden, my world stopped. The air around me froze and my feet melted beneath me as I turned to see him standing in the doorway, with nothing but a puzzled expression painted on his face.

He had his left arm resting on the door frame, while his other was holding what looked to be a pipe - and to make matters even worse, he had a girl in the background and I could see by her face that she wasn't that happy to see me either.

He looked me up and down slowly, his eyes creeping from my feet, to my hips and finally to my lips. He still hadn't said anything as I stood still before him and finally the guy who had me by my arm, went to open his mouth.

"Let go of her," Jesse spoke with no emotion on his face, rolling his fingers along the door frame.

My hand was finally set free and I watched Jesse turn around to the girl behind him. He flicked his head for her to leave and I watched her pout as she began to collect her things. She threw on her jacket and snatched up her shoes with a few fingers as she exited the room angrily.

Wow.

He turned back to face me, his eyes turning a sour dark green as he tossed the pipe onto the counter beside him. Without even moving, he turned back to examine me and immediately I was scared for my life.

He was acting the same as he'd always been, detached, emotionless and down right threatening. Here I thought I was coming to meet the man that had protected me last night, the guy who had saved me from almost being mauled by a pack of guys. Where was that Jesse? Why was he still keeping me out here?

Jesse shook his head, letting it drop as if to get over the initial shock that I had arrived much earlier then planned. He was wearing a long sleeve black shirt today and most, if not all, of his tattoos were covered up. I almost wanted to ask if it was intentional or not, that he was keeping them hidden, but then I remembered that these people may not know about Jesse yet.

"What are you doing here," He asked impatiently, his eyes darting between the crowd behind me.

I searched for the right words to say, anything that would be an appropriate excuse as to why I ignored his order and decided to come on my own accord.

"I, uhm...came to talk to you," I mumbled, watching his hand drop. A few of the guys behind me began to stir up conversation and finally Jesse and I weren't the center of attention anymore.

"What did I tell you to do, specifically?" His voice deepened on the last word and suddenly my heart ached.

I messed up, I totally fucked up by coming here. How could I be so stupid? I was letting my hormones and my emotions act for me and I fought with Jessica all because I wanted to be right.

"I'm sorry," I cringed, pulling nervously again at my tank, "I'm so sorry, I don't even know what I was thinking. I can't  even believe I did this."

"Who is that?" A girl from behind spoke, finally drawing the attention back to us, "I've never seen you before."

Jesse straightened up, his eyes flashing dangerously against hers as she began to stroll up to us. Before Jesse could even explain, he reached out for me, quickly pulling me close as I collided with his chest. He looked down at me, almost as if to give me a heads up that we needed to lie.

I took in his scent as I gripped his chest from the pull, the air around him circled through my nose as I took in the smell of what seemed to be a fresh shower and cologne. Finally he raised a hand to my face, brushing his thumb along my lower lip as if to make this believable.

He hesitated before me, his eyes burning with an intensity I had never seen and before I could stop him, he pressed his lips to mine and my mind exploded. His kiss suffocated me as I felt my insides burn from the thought and suddenly our lips began to rhythmically move, almost like this wasn't our first time.
