Nadine's POV

"Hindi ba pwedeng magbago ang desisyon mo at manatili ka na lang dito?" Sabi ng isang lumuluhang Vanessa sabay yakap sa akin nung umagang iyon.

I hugged her back and gave a reassuring smile. "Sorry talaga sa biglaan kong pag-alis. Pero I really have to go."

She gave me one last squeeze and let go. "Make sure to keep in contact with us, okay?"

Lumapit rin si Andrew at tumabi sa kanya. "Oo nga. Wag mo kaming kakalimutan a."

Lumapit na rin sina Harvey, Angeles, Mary, Eliza at Vincent, puro rin nagpapaalala. Nginitian ko silang lahat.

"Siyempre naman no. Paano ko kayo makakalimutan? Kayo nga ang pinakadabest barkada ever."

We all shared a group hug and stayed like that for a short while. Nag-umpisa na ring umiyak sina Eliza, Mary at Angeles, na agad namang kinomfort nina Vincent at Harvey. Kahit ako nag-uumpisa na ring maluha. I'll really miss these guys. All so much.

Napatingin ako sa relo ko. It's already 9:30 AM. Tito Leo and I will be leaving for the airport in thirty minutes.

"Oy ikaw babae ka!" Isang lumuluhang Jasmine ang agad na niyakap ako nang pasalubong.

Nagulat ako sa biglang pagdating niya, pero I hugged her back anyway. Hindi ako umalis sa yakap niya kahit ang sobrang higpit na nito. Doon na tuluyang tumulo ang mga luha sa mga mata ko. Sa lahat ng mga kaibigan ko dito, si Jasmine talaga ang ma-mi-miss ko nang sobra-sobra. She was my closest and bestest friend. She was practically the sister that I never had the chance to have. She was one of the few people who truly understood me the most. One of the few people who immediately knew when I was feeling down or having a problem. One of the few people who I can completely trust. One of the few people who have never left my side not even once. And one of the few people I can't live without.

"Don't you ever dare forget about us, okay? Tsaka wag mo ring kakalimutang mag-email sa akin EVERYDAY."

I couldn't help but laugh despite the tears. "Of course I won't forget. I'll really miss you, Jas."

Bumitaw siya sa akin at tiningnan ako nang maigi. "I'll miss you too. A whole lot." At mas lalo pa siyang lumuha pagkatapos niyang sabihin yun.

I patted her on the back and whispered comforting words to her. Lumapit na rin si Clark sa amin, na agad naman akong binigyan ng isang friendly hug. "Have a safe trip, Nadine."

I nodded gratefully to him. "Thank you. Take care of Jasmine while I'm gone, okay?"

He smiled and nodded.

Maya-maya'y tumigil na rin sa pag-iyak si Jasmine. And when she did, she immediately scanned our surroundings, looking like she was searching for someone. "Ba't wala pa rin dito si Lance? You're leaving today and yet he doesn't have the nerve to say goodbye to you?"

Napailing ako nang marinig ko ang mga sinabi niya. "Jas, alam mo naman ang nangyari sa amin diba? Besides, hindi ko naman sinabi sa kanyang aalis pala ako papuntang America ngayon. And I'm sure that even if I told him, hindi pa rin siya pupunta dito para lang magpaalam sa akin."

Mukhang disappointed si Jasmine, pero hindi na siya umangal muli. Minutes passed, and afterwards, dumating na rin sina Tito Leo at yung family driver namin. Alam kong aalis na kami.
