A letter our daughter
Little flower from the day I learned your were growing inside me I was not only overjoyed but I was also a little scared. Afraid I would do something wrong and ruin the perfect little person you were going to become, but fear is apart of life and you are not something to be afraid of you are something to be celebrated. We will celebrate all that you are and all that you will accomplish, we will teach you to stand up for what you believe in, to be strong and independent and know that you don't always need someone to make decisions for you. When I met your father I was a strong successful independent woman who didn't need a man to be exceptional but I needed him in other ways, he helped me to not be afraid of the past or what the future may bring, he helped me do things I never would of done on my own. We are both passionate about what we do and the other projects in our lives, we hope you find something you are just as passionate about and causes you fight for with all your heart like we do. Know you are surrounded by people who love you unconditionally just as much as we do. When my mum your grandmother wrote a letter like this for me she read it to me every night and I will do the same for you and your father will tell you every night how much he loves you as will I. We hope you never have to experience the horrors that lurk in the shadows of the world, as we will try our best to protect you and keep you as sweet and innocent as the day you were born. We love you little one and our hearts will be yours forever.
