"Hi everyone I know your expecting a blog post and I have one coming later but there's a few things I wanted to address and it seemed easier to talk to you guys like this rather than a lengthy blog post. I'm just waiting for Scott to join me" I say and Scott walks in and sits down beside me "Hi still recovering" he says referring to his foot injury "First thing we both wanna address and I wanna thank the person who noticed this for messaging me privately instead of posting it publicly. It shows great respect and understanding for the privacy we've created around our personal lives and the pregnancy. So this person noticed something in my recent Q&A with my brother Jack that I did not at the time of editing and posting which is this right here" I say holding up my hand revealing a ring on my ring finger "I am engaged and we've kept it on the downlow only our family and closest friends know until now, the plan was to keep it that way for awhile but this happened and I figured we should address it and let you guys know. We're engaged about a month and a half now so it's still pretty new and I think people didn't really notice until their was a more close up shot of the ring which you see in the video and it's not your typical looking engagement ring which I love about it. I may have to wear it around my neck on a chain soon because my fingers are getting pretty swollen. I'm gonna hand over to Scott for the proposal story you all wanna hear" I say "I had decided about a month or so before that I would propose so I went looking for rings with my sister and I asked my mom and Violet's for advice on what kind of ring and none I looked at seemed like Violet so I decided to get a custom one made which took a little time so I technically didn't have a ring when I proposed but got it like a week or so after. I proposed in New York where we had our first date and this whole journey started and that's it really I told her how much I loved her and how happy I was to have her in my life and for us to be a family and I proposed with no ring" he says "We have no plans as to when the wedding will happen but it's gonna be very private and personal and after baby girl gets here because I think it would be cute to have her there physically and not in my stomach. Scott also did not propose just because I'm pregnant before those comments start. Second thing is you've asked to see an ultrasound and not just pictures of the baby sonograms and we discussed it and those ultrasounds are such special moments for us seeing her grow and change over time and we want to keep that between us because we don't plan to be constantly posting pictures of her on social media and having her opened up to criticism and hate at such an earlier stage when she has no say and we're the ones who address these things on her behalf. We've both seen the ugly side of the Internet and I want her to be able to address these things how she wants but she won't be able to do that for awhile so it's our duty as her parents to be her voice. So we won't be sharing ultrasounds. That's pretty much all we wanted to say" I say
