Chapter Twenty Two

I'm in New York for the day for some meetings and to go on Live with Kelly and Ryan. Which would be my first appearance as a guest and second time being there as I was there with Scott a few months back. I am dressed and ready "She's best known for her role in Slayer and now she's a soon to be new mom and blogger please welcome Violet Murray" Kelly says and I make my way out and high five people and hug Ryan and Kelly "Congratulations how far along are you now" she says "About five and a half months" I say "Last time you were here was when Scott was on the show promoting Pacific Rim back in March and you were pregnant then" he says "I found out when we were here because I'd been sick on and off during March so I went to find out what was going on turns out it was morning sickness which was so bad the first trimester" I say "And you were shooting Slayer at the time right" he says "Yeah I did a play back home for a month had a little vacation and I was shooting from May to around the end of last month and I'll go back in the New Year sometime. But it was horrible because I was so sick and so exhausted like I'd sleep all day before night shoots but still be exhausted" I say "So you've been wrote out of the show temporarily" she says "Yeah the cast are still shooting for another few weeks the episodes without me, but I'm getting updates from the writers and the cast about what's going on so that's been cool" I say "Your here to talk about your blog. Which started out as a way to connect with fans in another way and has become pretty huge" he says "Yeah I've always been very creative given the household I grew up in and I wanted to share the things I love doing in my down time with my fans. It started out as lifestyle and fashion and then into cooking and now it's very pregnancy focused in a way I haven't seen other mum bloggers do before, I'm very honest about my insecurities during pregnancy and I think that's important so people know that pregnancy isn't all sunshine and rainbows" I say "Scott has his podcast which you've featured on and you have your blog. Is there any collaborating when your planning" he says "We're always there to offer each other support, if one of us is unsure about something we'll run it by the other to get that second opinion and advice because your partner is one of the few people who will be completely honest with you. We have quite a close bond as a couple which will only deepen once this little flower is born. For us doing these things is something we always wanted and are incredibly passionate about like alot of things in our lives" I say "I love the blog and you and I told Scott that last time he was here. You have such a likeable personality that when we met we were instant friends" she says "Thank you. I think that's something that's developed over the last few months for me it's always been there but because I was so career driven for so long it kinda disappeared and then when Scott and I met that side of me came back out and has stayed with me which I love" I say "Your going to Comic-Con in a few weeks so we'll get to hang out again. It's your first San Diego Comic-Con right" she says "Yeah there is a slight debate about me going with my doctor right now. I'll be six months then and given my immune system issues there's a worry about me getting sick as I was quite ill recently and we'd never do anything to put the baby at risk. But if I'm not there physically I will be there in some form. Meeting the fans is important to me and it will be the first big comic con for us since the show aired and I wouldn't want to miss out on that experience" I say "We're gonna take a little break but when we come back we're gonna have Violet cooking for us" he says

We've set everything up and are back from commercial "We are back with Violet Murray who is going to cook for us. What are we making?" she asks "Bacon,Brussels sprouts and butternut squash pasta which is pretty quick and easy to make and something I enjoy making. We try to eat quite healthy and this is something we both love to cook and it's a comfort food and one of my main comfort foods apart from a good old fashioned English pie which I make alot because my mum taught me" I say "Sounds incredible" he says and we get to work "Would you ever release a cookbook?" she asks "No alot of the recipes I use are family recipes and recipes I've adapted but I cook and bake because I love it and find it relaxing. Some of my favourite memories are cooking with my mum or grandmother and that's something I hope to share with our daughter" I say. We finish and they taste "This is delicious I am definitely stealing this recipe" she says "I agree. Catch Violet in new Slayer episodes premiering this fall. Violet Murray everyone" he says.
