Ezra's POV:

I gave the shoes to Mona. What was I going to do? I guess I just had to tell Aria when she got home which was 3 hours from then.  Me and Toby got in the car and drove to the store. We went in and bought the paint we needed. As we were walking out, we saw Mona sitting outside the Brew, eating lunch. She was wearing the shoes. "There's Mona....with the shoes..." I said to Toby. "Shall we go tell her?" Toby asked. 'No...it will only cause trouble. Maybe I could buy a new pair for Aria. That way she won't know." I said. 'Yeah but what shop sells the exact same shoes?" Toby asked. I had a little think and I turned my head. All of a sudden, I saw them...the shoes. I looked at the shoes Mona had on and looked at the shoes in the glass window, across the street. I wondered off to have a proper look at them and Toby realized I had gone about 10 seconds later. "Hey! Wait up!" He ran after me. 'Look!" I pointed to the shoes and had a look at the price tag. "Whoa they're the exact same shoes as the ones Mona took." He said. "Indeed they are and they are also under the amount of money we have." I said, pointing to the tag that said '$14.99' "Don't you think we should-" He was cut off...by me, "Buy them? Good idea!" I ran into the shop and bought the shoes. I dropped Toby off at his house and said we could paint the room the next day. I drove home and ran upstairs. I took the tissue, price tag and stickers off of the shoes and placed them in Aria's closet. I knew I was up for a lie to my own wife but what could I do? I wanted to impress her! Soon later, Aria came home and suggested that we went out for the night. "How about bowling?" I asked her. She agreed and went upstairs to change her shoes and put on a different jacket. She put on a denim jacket and was going to put on the shoes that she thought were the ones she last saw. "I'm really glad Mona didn't take these shoes because I don't know what I would have done without-" She stopped and looked at the shoes. "Where are the brown buttons on the back of the heels?" She asked. CRAP, I thought to myself. "Umm..." I said, unsure of what to say. I eventually told the truth...very awkwardly. "Weeeellll....Mona came over before you called me and told me that you said she could have the shoes so I trusted what she said, stupidly...very stupidly, and gave her the shoes. So about 5 minutes after she left, you called. After I heard what you said, I realized I had screwed up. So I figured I would just tell you the truth so I went to the store, with Toby, to buy the paint for the baby's room and we saw Mona, wearing the shoes. Toby suggested that we would go talk to her but I didn't listen, when I should have, and saw a pair that looked exactly the same as the ones I gave to Mona so-" Aria cut me off, "You bought them for me?" She asked. "Yes and I know I should have just told you the truth in the first place but-" She stopped me and pulled me in for a kiss. "I love them, thankyou. They're better than the ones I had before. Also, you do realise that Mona was going to return them, right?" She said. "Umm...ohhhh....sooo...you like them huh?" I said to her. 'Yes, I do!" She kissed me again and this time with more passion. I love her.
