Let's start from the beginning

Lorde - Ribs
You're the only friend I need
Sharing beds like little kids
And laughing 'til our ribs get tough
But that will never be enough

I walked up the stairs only to push the door open to my school. Summer break was over, now was the time to begin my second year in high school. I would begin to explain my struggle with school, but it wouldn't help, because I knew I wasn't the only one hating school here. It would be harder to find someone who actually liked being held prisoner to our school system.
There were just so many other things to do, and so many other ways to get intelligent through. You don't have to sit on your ass, and listen to some self-announced authority to learn.
The only good thing school had given me, was my friends. Or maybe just Michael. Speaking of Michael...
"Ashton! Over here!" Michael yelled at me trough the school halls. I quickly caught up, and ran up to my best friend, giving him a tight hug.
"Hey, what's up? How was Canada?" I asked, already knowing his answer. And as I guessed, he just lifted his eyebrows, signalling that it wasn't his first choice of vacation.
"It was boring as hell, but the chicks were hot, so it was okay." he laughed and I started to shake my head. Typical Michael.
We talked towards class, and Michael was talking about a new guitar he had gotten over summer break. I didn't really listen, I was checking out all the people that were in the halls.
The whole football team were gathered in the hall, blocking for the rest of our students to pass. When I say football, I mean the real football, where you actually use your foot to play.
The scenery was very average. It was something I had seen for the past year of my life every day. I thought that a summer break would change something, but it all looked very normal. Except that people had aged a bit. I couldn't help but think that we would matter more now that we were sophomores.
"I think it would go great with your drums." he finished off, looking for an answer from me.
"Really? That sounds cool." I said, happy that me and Michael found each other trough the music we loved so much. We continued down the hall, with me beginning to tell about my summer break. Which had been short. Way too short.
I was about to tell something about a party I went to, and had met a cool guy named Calum, until Michael suddenly turned around, facing someone behind him.
I turned around too, to see what he was looking at. My gaze quickly fell on a girl that was standing right infront of Michael, with a lot of papers in her arms, and I bright smile on her face. Her hands were close to Michael's shoulder, like she had poked him on the shoulder.
"Oh hey, sorry. If I need to get to room 344, I need to go this way, right?" she asked pointing down another hall, both looking at me and Michael. She locked her eyes with me for a couple of seconds, and she chuckled a little, like she thought she was being weird for asking a question like that.
"No, wait. I actually think it's that way, but I honestly don't know." Michael answered, looking puzzled. I could tell he had no clue.
I decided to jump in and help Michael.
"Actually, it's that way. Michael doesn't know anything." I pointed in a third direction, leaving her to turn around and look that way. "I know it because I have a class there."
Her face brightened up again, and she seemed relieved. I looked at her for once. She had taken me by surprise at first, but now I really looked at her. She had this special long white hair, I assumed was something she had dyed herself. With that she had a pair of sparkly green eyes, and she wore a plaid shirt with a white dress in knee length.
"I'm new here, would it be too much to ask if I could follow you to class?" she said, putting her palms together like she was praying to me. I couldn't help but smile at her, she was absolutely gorgeous.
"Of course you can. Do you need to put those things in a locker?" I asked pointing at the papers in her arms. She nodded laughing, me joining in.
"If it's not too much to ask about."
I assured her it wasn't, and offered to take some of it, but she just shook her head, and told me it wasn't a problem. Michael shifted awkwardly beside us.
"Uhm, I'll just let you two to yourself. See you at lunch." Michael said and walked off, and left me with this girl, that seemed to be mine for the next minutes. Totally fine with that. It wasn't every day you could walk a pretty girl to class.

Fae's P.O.V.
The guy that was with the black-haired boy, apparently had the same class as me, and we were now walking down the halls.
I didn't even know his name, but when he turned around, I was taken back. I don't think boys really like to be called cute, but this guy was for sure cute. I couldn't help but look to the ground, avoiding his eyes on me.
"By the way, I'm Ashton." he said and pulled a hand out.
"I'm Fae." I shook his hand, and finally found my locker.
I tried to turn the lock, but the luck wasn't with me. I tried once again, and became more and more frustrated and irritated with the difficult lock. I was almost about to bang it in, when a hand suddenly stroked my hand.
Ashton leaned over, and easily opened the dumb locker, with nothing but a little click. I looked up at him, and saw him only standing centimeters from me. He slowly backed off, quietly apologizing. Wait, was he blushing? Oh, he was so cute.
I didn't even mind, I just threw all my stuff into my new locker, and just closed it with a big bang. I turned around, and just as I was about to smoothly walk away, I bumped right into Ashton's chest. Bumped is an easy way to say it, I actually crashed into him, making him stumble a few steps back. He awkwardly grabbed me, so he wouldn't fall, and I quickly steadied our weight.
He caught my gaze, and we started laughing on point.
We continued talking as we walked down the hall. He seemed genuinely interested in my move to here, from where I lived before. It wasn't that far away, but I still had to change school. Which I explained was fine with me, but he couldn't seem to understand.
"Wait, were you like bullied?" he said, with a certain amount of worry in his voice.
"No! Not at all, I liked my old school, but I know I will like this one too, so it's okay."
"Oh" he just said, like it still didn't make sense to him. I asked him about his vacation, and we were already into the warmt each others words again.
When we reached the class, I found an empty seat, and to my surprise Ashton took the one right in front of me. He turned around, a smirk on his face, exposing the dimples on his face.
"Is geography your favorite subject?"
I nodded.
"Mine too."
