damn maia is in the story now wey hey
*Fae's P.O.V.*
I sat in Ashton's kitchen besides Michael, who were on his phone. I peeked over his shoulder, and saw he was texting someone.
"Who are you texting?" I asked curiously.
"Just someone I needed to do an assignment with. Luke, Luke Hemmings. Do you know him?" He turned to look at me.
"No, I don't really know anyone besides you and Ashton."
"Oh well, that's fair. He's still a cool guy though."
Ashton walked in through the door, and looked at me and Michael sitting beside each other. He narrowed his eyes a bit, looked puzzled all of the sudden.
"What's up." He then said and sat down across from me.
"I'm just texting a guy from our school. Luke Hemmings." Michael said.
"Oh yeah, I know him. A little."
Michael got up and opened the fridge in the kitchen. He stuck his head in, and I could hear him looking through the many boxes of whatever food it may consist.
Ashton leaned across the table and took my hand. I smiled at him, when he stroked his thumb over my hand.
I didn't exactly know what me and Ashton were yet, but I really didn't want to know either. I just knew that I liked him, and I couldn't deny myself the simple gesture of his smile.
"Where are we going for our date?" I asked, making Michael stick his head out, and leave the room.
"Oh wait, did I say something." I asked worried. I really didn't want to make anyone mad, and I always watched out for what I told others. I really didn't want to bother people.
"No, it's okay. He's just third-wheeling." Ashton laughed.
His arm came around me, and he put his head on top of mine.
"I don't really want to ruin our surprise, but I can say it's going to be epic." Ashton answered, smiling down at me. He finally intertwined our fingers. I was really excited for this date to be honest. But with excitement comes fear too. If you're going to do something new, and you have certain expectations, so you'll always be worried about something bad happening, because you don't know anything about this new experience, object or feeling.
But I could as long as Ashton was there, it would be totally fine.
I looked down at our hands. I inspected them, seeing the huge difference between our sizes.
"You have huge hands." I said making him giggle. He put up his hands and I laid my upon, clearly seing the big difference. His fingers were about 3 centimeters longer than mine. I didn't even have small hands of my age!
"That's cute." Ashton said.

It was already late, and Ashton had finally let me go to go home. Michael were still there, so I gave him a quick hug before leaving, and letting Ashton follow me to the door. He even looked sad, which was weird because he knew he was going to see me again tomorrow.
"I really got to get home." I said trying to take away the emptiness in his eyes.
"It was fun anyways." He said opening the door for me. "I really want to walk you home, but I better stay with Michael."
"It's totally fine, I don't live that far away either." I assured him.
And then we stood there. None of us really said anything. He took a step towards me, and he got this some sort of look in his eyes, I hadn't seen before. But then he leaned in, and I knew exactly what he was trying to do.
I quickly got on my toes and gave him a kiss on his cheek, preventing him from reaching my lips.
He didn't look disapointed at all, he even smiled. Maybe he knew it was too soon too.
"See you tomorrow." I waved and walked down the stairs of his front porch.
"See you." He said and waved back. He then went back into the house.
I walked down his front yard, surprised to see the Maia girl standing in her yard. I was even more surprised to see she was walking up to me.
"I know this is weird, but hey I'm Maia." She sweetly said and I shook her hand.
"I'm Fae."
"So I can see you are one of Ashton's friends?" She asked, shifting her weight from her foot to the other. She wasn't intending anything, she was just asking a question.
"Yeah, I guess." I answered. "Or well I don't know what he wants to call it."
"Oh I see, I could tell he had found some new girlfriend." Maia said still smiling at me.
"We're not really official yet, but yeah... We haven't been on a date either..." I trailed off, not knowing why I was telling this to a complete stranger. Or she was Ashton's ex apparently.
"I heard you and him had a thing too." I said, making her shake her head while laughing a bit.
"A thing? Yeah, that's a long time ago. We're just friends now obiviously." She said still smiling brightly. I don't know, I actually kinda liked this Maia girl. She seemed sweet.
"Okay, I won't hold you back no longer. It was nice to chat with you, see you at school." She said, and went back to her own garden.
Oh, she went to school with us. I guess I could have figured that out when she lived so close to the school.
I randomly looked up at Ashton's house for the last time, surprised to see Michael standing in one of the windows with a cheeky smile on his face.
I gave him a confused look, and then he gave me same hand sign he had given me earlier today with his fingers, raising his eyebrows.
I let out a small laugh, shaking my head while smiling.
Look at all these beautiful friendships I had managed to form in such short time.
