The sun began to rise the same morning, and then sunlight crashed in trough the white curtains. I was lying on one of the sofas alone. I had told Michael to go home, nothing really happened here anyway, and after a lot of convincing, he finally drove home, leaving me here.
I decided to grab a cup of coffee from the café. Mostly because my eyelids had the weight of a brick, and could close any time soon.
Before I entered the hospitals café, I got a flash of someone I knew. I quickly turned around again, and saw Luke and Calum standing beside each other. I caught their eyes, and they slowly walked up to me, not knowing which emotion they should show. I decided to tell them the whole story, and they listened with concentrated faces.
"I'm so sorry." Luke spoke after I finished. They both pulled me in for a hug, and I could feel Calum hitting my back. I was very thankful that they were here.
We all went for some coffee, and then went back to the endless waiting outside Fae's room.
"We're going on tour today." Luke said silently, not knowing if he should bring it up or not. Calum flashed an exciting smile, and I did too, because I couldn't help but being excited. Even though all of this was going on.
"It's gonna be great. The One Direction lads are so cool." Calum said, and we all chuckled.
Silence. Everyone looked straight towards the empty wall ahead of us.
"Not to make everything more complicated, Ash, but we need you on this tour." Calum said silently. I turned my head towards him.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"It's okay if you stay here with Fae, we know how much she means to you, but this is so big. I don't think we will get this chance again." Luke said, Calum nodding.
I realized what they were talking about. They thought I was going to stay here, and ditch them on the tour. But I honestly couldn't do that. I knew being here was important, but what could I do? I guess there would always be people around Fae, so she would clearly never be alone. And the boys - they needed me. We were a band, and we worked best together if we were all gathered.
And at the same time, I knew Fae wanted me to go on that tour, even though she wasn't conscious at the moment.
"Guys, I'm going with you for sure. Don't even worry about me, it's gonna be fine. There really isn't much to do here either way." I said trying to lighten up the mood.
"I brought tacos!" A familiar voice called trough the long halls. Michael appeared seconds later with to bags lifted over his head. A round of applause was given from me, Calum and Luke, and Michael quickly sad down beside me.
I was starving to be honest, and just threw the delicious food into my mouth.
While they boys and I made some small taking about everything and not, the doctor seemed to disappear from Fae's room. And with that - the door opened wide.
I quickly stood up, only to be copies by the other boys.
Fae's father stood in the door, looking at me directly. His face had changed since I saw him last time. His expression wasn't desperate anymore, it was more natural and less frightening.
"You can come in now" he said, and I didn't hesitate to walk towards the door. The other boys did the same, but Fae's father stopped them.
"Only Ashton." He said plainly. The boys begin to protest, while I made my way around her father, and got greeted by a bright light from the huge window in the middle of the room. I could still hear the other boys' voices from the hall.
