Fear // Ashton Irwin

Chapter 7

*Ashton's P.O.V.*

"I'm not sure anyone is in there." Fae said looking back and forth, assuring nobody was looking. She nervously stepped two steps ahead and then back again.

"Are you seriously trying to hold in your pee? Just knock the door already?" I said being tired of standing outside the toilets for more than ten minutes.

"I don't want to interrupt anything!" She said and looked at me with a desperate expression. Oh my god, Fae.

"I'm going to knock on the door now, and then I'll just have to be the pee-interrupting-villain here." I went forward to knock on the closed door. I lightly tapped my knuckles on the door, and waited for a few seconds without getting any answer.

I opened the door to see an empty bathroom. I was about to turn around and tell her it was free, but she pushed herself past me, and quickly closed the door behind her.

I couldn't help but laugh at her, and quickly got told to shut up from the inside of the bathroom.

I leaned my back against the wall, and looked around to all the students walking through the stuffed halls. Suddenly a slightly familiar face came into my view, and Calum pushed his way through the crowd in my direction.

"Hey Ashton! I have been looking for you!" He said when he reached me.

"Really? What's the problem?" I asked a bit surprised he had been looking for me. I still didn't really know him. We had only been talking a couple of times at a party.

"No no there's no problem, but I have actually been talking to your friend, Michael. Great guy - he's really awesome. And we couldn't help but talk about how I was good on the bass, you could rock the drums and how he could play on the guitar." He told me.

"Are you implying what I think you're implying?"

"Yes, I think we should start a band. That would be even more awesome." Calum stated and smiled widely. I couldn't help but join him.

"Okay, you go first." Fae said.

We were sat in the school cafeteria one leg on each side of a bench, facing each other. We both had our phones out, a headset connected to each of them. I had the earpiece of Fae's in my right ear, and my own in the left. Fae had the same.

"Okay, now let's get some good music out." I grinned and saw her cringe at me.

I typed away on my phone and found a song on my phone I really liked. I leaned back and waited for her reaction.

She put on a focused face and listened to the song. I doubted she could hear anything, because Calum and Michael were shouting from the other side of the table. I quickly gave them a look, but they just ignored me.

"Who's this?" She asked a frown on her face.

"Arctic Monkeys. And the song is 'Stop The World I Wanna Get Off With You'" I told her showing my screen.

"Never listened to them before. Why does it have such a long title?" She took the phone to see if I was actually right.

"Let me hear one of yours." I smiled, and she began to look for something in her phone too. I could see her scroll through all her songs, deciding which one she should me first. Her eyes widened and then she looked up at me and smiled.

"This one."

The song started and I could already sense the slow beat. It started off with some guitat and a very peacefull voice sounded.

"Is it Lana Del Rey?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

"Yes! I love her so much." She still smiled, and she put her hands together. I sat back laughing not sure if she was kidding or not.
