Loki looked at Thor in astonishment. Astryd looked at the growling Hulk in fear.

"Thor? What are yo-" Loki was cut off, the sound of the Hulk roaring.

Thor was standing in front of the others, protecting them. "Banner, calm down." He soothed, his hands out as if to ward him off.

"Not Banner! Hulk!" He roared and flung his hand to hit Thor, who was now flying backwards. He hit a wall with a loud thump.

"Thor!" Loki yelled. He ran down the stairs with struggle as the others fought the Hulk. He could hear him roaring. But He didn't care. Why wasn't Thor moving? He finally made to his brother and kept next to him. "Thor?"

"Hmm," he hummed.

"Thank Odin." Loki said with a sigh of relief. He helped Thor up and they both joined the fight against the Other Guy.

He charged for Loki, lifting his hand and hitting him. This time Loki went flying. He hit a table and went through, then hit the wall and went through that. He lay in a pile full of broken wall and ruble.

He tried to get up, but something from behind held him and covered his mouth. He tried to talk, but it came out muffled. Whoever it was, was strong, and was pulling him away from his friends. It was then that he saw the purple hand covering his mouth and he screamed again, to no avail, did anyone hear.

Thanos pulled him harder and another muffled yell was choked out. He felt more hands on him and he struggled more. He heard the Hulk roar and then saw him emerge from the whole in the wall that he put him through, everyone else behind him. They had their weapons ready.

"Let him go!" Yelled Thor.

"Now!" Roared Hulk.

Loki's panting was more obvious since the room fell silent, The Hulk transforming back into Bruce.

Thanos pulled Loki's head up by the chin with his free hand and Loki winced. He pulled out a dagger with a dropping blue substance running off. "Remember this, Jotun runt?" He put the dagger to his throat.

Loki knew the smell. The poison. Chitauri blood is just like poison if it gets in your system. It's not permanent, but lasts a while.

Loki began to struggle with muffled yells. Everyone looked in confusion, shock, and absolute horror of the weak god that was so proud just months before.

Thanos let Loki's mouth free and he breathed hard. "Thanos... What. Do. You. Want?" He hissed.

"Why, isn't it obvious? Or has that Jotun in you frozen your brain cells?"

"Just let him go!" Astryd yelled.

"Astryd, don't!" Loki yelled before the hand covered his mouth again. He struggled more, but knew it was no use. He stopped.

Thanos waved his hand slowly in the air as it glowed and everyone was frozen to the spot. They couldn't move, talk, or anything! Except Astryd.

One of the Chitauri got a hold of Loki, Thanos striding over to Astryd. Loki couldn't help but struggle. His yells were muffled, but you could hear the "no".

Astryd stepped back each time Thanos stepped forward. She came to a stop, a pile of ruble behind her. Thanos stoked her cheek as she cringed at the touch. "You're the one. The one he cares so dearly for. Why?" He turned back to Loki, walking closer to him. "Hm?" He grabbed Loki's chin so he looked at him. "I asked a question." The Chitauri let go of Loki's mouth. "Now you can answer. Why do you care so dearly for thi-"

Loki spit in his face.

Thanos' eyes glowed yellow some more and he hit Loki in the face, leaving a bleeding cut behind. He snarled and headed back towards Astryd.
