Chapter 4- Actual Escape

Astryd knew Loki did some terrible things but he didn't deserve this. She simply didn't look at the bad in him. There is good in him and that's what she focuses on.

She was in the surveillance room waiting for Stark to enter his cell and then... lights go out. She was excited about this. Of course Loki would be too weak to fight while they were actually escaping him out but when he heals... that could be a problem.

Finally she saw Tony walk in in his suit (well, snuck in) and turned off all lights and managed her way to the runway to meet Tony after he got Loki.

They were really doing this.

And she felt no remorse.

She was proud.

. . .

Tony Stark had snuck past lots of guards and finally made it to Loki's cell. He was sleeping, we'll unconscious, as he began to think if maybe this isn't such a good idea. No, Loki didn't deserve this but he did throw him out of a window and caused a lot of damage to the city.

But he would have to put all that aside and do what was right.

He knelt down in front of Loki and began to undo the restraints. Loki must have noticed because he stirred and hummed. "Shh, I'm getting you out." Tony whispered.

. . .

Loki heard a voice but couldn't find the strength to open his eyes.

The voice sounded familiar. Why did it sound familiar? What was happening?

He felt hands on his wrists as if removing him from the cursed restraints. He felt grateful for a split second. He wanted out.

But then he felt anger. How dare they think he is not strong enough to get away himself.

Because you're not.

A voice in his head told him.

Pathetic.

He felt as if he was someone's arms.

The arms felt hard though, almost like metal. He let out a groan.

"Shh," the voice said again.

He finally built up the strength to open his eyes and what saw truly confused him.

Stark?

Tony Stark?

Man of Iron?

What the..?

. . .

Astryd was starting to get impatient. She has been sitting here in the dark, at the runway exit door for nearly ten minutes. This is ridiculous. Did something go wrong? She heard voices from a hallway away.

"We need to get the power back on." One voice said.

"Yes, sir." Another said.

Fury was just giving an order to turn the power back on.

Shit!

Then she saw him... She saw Tony carrying a limp Loki in his arms and didn't say anything. He grabbed her waist with one free hand and she opened the door.

Then they were in the sky far away.
