Tony walked into Loki's room to find what, or should he say who, he was looking for.

Astryd sat on the side of Loki's bed looking at him with admiration.

Tony cleared his throat and they both looked up. "Hey Reindeer Games, how ya feeling?"

"Better thanks to you." Loki said gratefully.

Tony arched an eyebrow. "Am I finding Loki saying thank you? Hmm, I didn't drink this morning. Maybe I'm dreaming."

Loki then arched his own eyebrow and looked down at his hands. "No, I'm serious. Thank you. I couldn't stand that place honestly. I just wanted it to stop. I've been in that situation before and just wanted it to st-" Loki realized what he said before he could finish. He looked up and attempted to change the subject. "Anyway, I mean it. Thank you." He forced a smile.

"Wait, what were you saying?" Astryd asked.

"That I thank you." He said obviously.

He looked at Tony who stood with eyebrows furrowed. He opened his mouth as too say something, but closed it again. He couldn't find the words.

Dammit, Thought Loki.

Astryd eyes widened as she just realized what exactly was transpiring. Did he just refer to being tortured before? What did he mean by that? She looked towards Tony who looked the same as he did a few seconds ago. The she looked towards Loki.

He was looking down at his hands, which he was fiddling with. She realized he was trembling slightly as if seeing his past. As if past memories were invading his mind.

She put a hand on his shoulder, in which he flinched and looked up at Astryd. His eyes looked so haunted.

Tony cleared his throat and said, "Um... You okay buddy?"

Loki looked at him wide eyed. "What?" He whispered.

Tony looked confused. "Are you okay?" He asked again.

Loki shook his head. No, you said buddy. I'm not your buddy. I'm not anyones." He said sternly.

Tony put his hands up as if to surrender, while Astryd looked back and forth between the genius and the prince. "Listen green eyes, I'm just trying to help. Am I being cautious around you? How could I not. You nearly destroyed, no, did destroy New York. Did you deserve what S.H.I.E.L.D did? No. Was it justice? No!" He stepped closer to the god. "All I am trying to do is help. I don't care if you don't want it. But you need it. So if you come to your senses you know where to find me!" He turned on his heel and sauntered out of the room.

Loki starred at the door wide eyed. Did he just..? No. No one cares for him. Why would they?

Astryd turned to Loki away from the door. "Loki, you know we like you right? I mean, we were cautious at first, but not anymore. We realize you probably want revenge on S.H.I.E.L.D but I mean-"

Loki whipped his around to look at Astryd in the eyes. "I don't want revenge. I never want to hurt anyone again. You think I wanted to do what I did here not many months ago? I'll admit, what I did in Asgard was out of spite and I was angry-"

"What did you do in Asgard?" She asked.

Loki looked at her. It was then that he got a good look at her. He black wavy hair was long and went down to maybe her bottom. (Hard to tell for she is sitting) She had a skinny body with fairly sized breasts. Her eyes were like an ocean blue that glimmered with hope.

"Loki?"

The voice brought Loki out if his thoughts. Turns out the voice was Astryd herself. "Sorry, sorry..." he said shaking his head. "Yes, I tried to destroy Jotunheim so I could prove to fath-... Odin that I was the worthy son. That I could make him proud. He fell into Odinsleep as all the events were transpiring. I just wanted to be Thor's equal. I was planning on destroying Jotunheim. But it didn't go the way I had planned. Thor destroyed the Rainbow Bridge, the doorway to other realms, and ruined my plans. Father was holding Thor. I was holding onto Gungnir, which Thor had a hold of. I looked down for a split second and all I saw was darkness. The void is what it is called. I looked into Odin's eyes and I told him I could've done it. I did it for the good Asgard and no one saw that. He said no. I couldn't have. So I looked into Thor's eyes then. He knew what I was going to do but I didn't care." Loki stopped and looked down again.

"What were you going to do?" Astryd asked.

"More like what I did." Loki's voice was barely audible now. "I let go..."

Astryd looked at him bewildered. What was she supposed to say? "I'm sorry."

"Don't be. I was falling and waiting to land. I finally did. I was the one who let go. It was my fault."

"How long were you falling?"

"I know not. There is no time in the void. All I know is that it was a long while until I finally landed."

After a few moments of agonizing silence Astryd finally asked, "Where did you land?"

In that very moment Tony poked his head in. "Hey, sorry I got mad earlier. You hungry? I made some sandwiches."

"You made your own food?" Astryd asked jokingly.

"Yea, you two were busy love birding it up."

"What?" Loki exclaimed. "I do not love her! Shut up!"

"Whatever Rudolph, hungry?" Loki furrowed his eyebrows in a confused manner. "Nevermind, are you hungry? Won't ask again."

"I could use some food." Astryd said happily. She stood up and held out her hand for Loki to take. "Come on. I'm hungry. I know you are too."

Loki starred at the hand as if it were a giant cockroach.

"Come on," she said again.

Finally he took the hand and with some trouble, they made it to the kitchen.
