Jotun runt

Worthless

Nothing you say matters

Unloved by all

It was all hitting him so hard he couldn't control the tears that had now been flowing out if his eyes. He was sitting on the bathroom floor, his knees pulled up to his chest looking down.

He was hearing knocking and calls for him to come out but they were so faint.

He couldn't breathe. Why couldn't he breathe?

Cause you're here. With me.

Did Loki just hear Thanos' voice?

Yes little runt.

His breath lessened. No. He can't be here. I'm safe. Tony and Astryd won't let anything happen.

The Other warned you little Jotun scum.

"Stop!" Loki yelled.

He heard someone say they were going to kick down the door.

Please don't. Please don't. Please don't.

They can't help you. I'm here. In your head. Have been all along.

"No!" He yelled again.

He heard a loud bang and thought it was Thanos. That he had found him. But he soon felt arms around him. They were so soft. He cringed into them. He knew they were Astryd's. "Help." He pleaded.

He knew what was happening. This had happened when he was in that hot room. He would have these attacks all the time there. He heard Thanos' cold, deep voice taunting him.

He heard Astryd shushing him but he couldn't stop.

"Please... Please make it stop."

. . .

"Dammit Clint!" Tony yelled as he watched Astryd comfort the trembling god.

"I didn't mean for this to happen! What is he even doing here?" He questioned.

"S.H.I.E.L.D was torturing him! We had to do something! Obviously you can see that he was coerced! You idiot! He was doing perfectly fine!"

"Guys! You're not helping!" Yelled Steve as Tony and Clint's angered pants were dying down.

They heard a chocked sob and looked back towards the green eyed prince who was still trembling and sobbing onto Astryd. "Please... stop..."

Something took a hold of Tony's heart and squeezed until he couldn't breathe. What happened to the Loki that seemed so calm and collected and proud just a couple months ago? Who was this pleading Loki begging for it (whatever it is) to stop?

He looked towards Bruce, who hasn't said anything, Clint and Steve who all had the same expression of guilt and pity on their faces.

"Well... What do we do?" Clint asked quickly.

"I'm not sure... Astryd?" Tony replied looking towards Astryd holding a god who seems to have fallen asleep. Loki's face was screwed in pain as a bead of sweat covered his brow, breathing uneven as if in pain.

"We need to get him to bed. He's sick." Bruce spoke quietly.

The men and Astryd helped get the sleeping Loki to bed. Tony pulled the covers up to his chin. "Okay, what d'ya mean he's sick?" He finally asked.

Steve, Clint, and Astryd, who all stood around the bed watching the slightly whimpering god, looked up at Bruce to hear his diagnosis. "Stress. Simple stress. Too much stress can cause someone to be sick. Even a simple cold. But this is different. Like... He is stuck... In a... I guess you could say dream state. See," he pointed towards Loki's face. "His face is contorted in pain. Therefore, nightmare. I know them good. Then you have the sweat, demonstrating being sick. The question is... Who is putting him in the dream state?"

"I thought you said he was stressed." Steve said.

"Yes, obviously. Hence the anxiety attack. Then ya have the nightmare, I've explained that, but we won't wake. Go on, try it." Bruce urged.

Steve tapped Loki's shoulder hesitantly and then did it harder but he still didn't wake.

"See?" Bruce stated.

"So what do we do?" Clint and Astryd asked in unison.

"I'm not sure." Bruce said uncertain

"By the way, where's Ramonav?" Tony asked.

"On her way, probably be here tomorrow. I think I should call her and tell her the situation. I think she'll believe me." Clint explained.

"What makes you say that, Agent Barton?" Steve asked.

"If I believe Loki is no threat, so should anyone else. I should be the one to slit his throat."

"Barton, you forget we both suffered at Loki's hands." Astryd said bitterly. "I've learned to forgive him. So should you." She looked down at Loki. He was ashen pale. Deathly pale.

Clint nodded and left the room to call Natasha.

"I've guess we need to find out who's doing this to him." Bruce said, breaking the silence.

"Thanos..." Loki whispered strained.

"Guess we can start there." Tony suggested.

Bruce nodded. "We can begin discussing when Natasha gets here. For now, we need to leave him alone." He looked towards Astryd, who was now holding the God's pale, cold hand. "Astryd..."

She looked up slowly. "Yes, of course..." She let go of Loki's hand and they headed downstairs.

It's late... not much of a marathon... but I got a couple chapters in today... now I am tired and I'm must sleep.
