Chapter 40

Jim's POV:

Jim knew.

He knew everything.

As scrolled through his phone, his mind explored all the answers and possibilities of the entire situation. His theory was further confirmed by seeing that the systems were hacked yesterday, only seconds before y/n was proclaimed gone. It wasn't rare that someone tried to get into the systems, but usually no one gets as far as this. Kudos, to whomever Jim's new opposer was~ they were smart, but not as smart as jim. Of course, someone took y/n and Alex, likely as an 'introduction' to frighten them and get into their heads. Then they staged this whole thing, likely threatening to kill one of them if they told jim about it. Hence y/n, William, and Alex were lying.

So jim played along.

He played the role of 'unknowing', but suspicious. This way it would be believable, otherwise whoever this was would see that jim didn't seem to be catching on at all, and realize that he knew. Come on. Jim isn't that stupid to not even be suspicious. That's just pathetic. Same thing with his initial panic and kissing y/n. Whoever this was wanted to get in their heads. So jim played along once more. He allowed emotions to take ahold of him, so he acted out of initial panic and protectiveness, before recomposing himself and pretending to 'catch on' to the little game going on around him. See? Jim has emotions~ he's just. Very in tune with them. And knows how to use them to get what he wants. He's wasn't lying to y/n about the things he said to her~ he simply just strategically allowed his vulnerable side to take over at the exact right time.

Jim had all the pieces, and he knew how to use each one to it's fullest advantage.

So why not play along~? Besides. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't excited to meet his new rival~~.

You sat in your bed, smiling to yourself. You loved it here.... every little bit of it. You were growing to not mind the evil man and his adventures, too. Although you still did NOT like the idea of anyone hurting Alex... that bothered you quite a bit. ... but besides that, you were starting to really, really enjoy being in London.
