After a few moments you finally pulled your mouth away from his, smiling happily. You pressed your nose against his, looking into his eyes with glee. He just smiled calmly, one eyebrow raising again. He was observing you more than you were him. You just wanted to look into his eyes forever..

".... I should um... probably find Alex. ..." you say with a smile, climbing out of his lap. He nods in response.

"Of course~ go ahead, my dear." He replies, and you thought for a moment.

"... you're still under probation though, so maybe get William to come in while I'm gone....?" You asked, and he just simply nodded again. Obviously understanding the reasoning behind your worry, and likely empathizing with it as well.

"Of course." He replied, sending a quick text. You smiled again, leaning down to kiss his forehead, before going over to the door.

".... I really like you, jim. .... I hope you feel the same way." You said, looking at him intently to try to read him for once. He smiled, but William came into the room before he could reply.

"Oh- am I interrupting—?" William asked, a bit confused. You shook your head in unison with jim, only adding to William's confusion. .... but he seemed to quickly figure out what had happened, by observing how disheveled you were. He quickly blushed and looked down.

".... apologies." He mumbled, obviously embarrassed at the thought of you and jim engaging in a makeout sesh. You smiled, shaking your head again.

"... no worries. Just keep him company, I have a few things I gotta do." You chirped with a grin, before hopping out of the room. As you were out of eyesight however, you grabbed your phone from your pocket and swallowed. The man hadn't texted you.... yes, it was pretty evident it had to be jim doing all this at this point, but.... you secretly hoped it wasn't. You secretly hoped it was some random guy on the street that was stalking you, making your lives miserable... someone that could be disposed of with more or less ease, if need be.... but that didn't seem to be the case.

Jim's POV:

Jim calmly crossed his arms over his chest, looking at William.

"So. Your thoughts on Harvey?" He asked calmly, causing William to immediately avert his eyes and look downward.

"... ah. .... well, he's different from how I remember him. ... which is good. ... and he seems to be helping Alex a lot. Actually, so has being around y/n. He hasn't had an incident since they met." William replied, obviously trying to divert the conversation away from having Harvey as the subject matter. Jim nodded.

"Yes, I've noticed. Then again that may be bad as well, it may come back stronger than ever. Just keep an eye on him." Jim replied, raising an eyebrow slightly. William nodded in response, still looking down. Something was wrong. Jim stood up.

"Something on your mind, Willy boy~?"

"..... jim, Alex has blood that can heal any wound. ..... that can be used against him, if it gets into the wrong hands. If whoever's messing with us isn't you, and worst comes to worst.... what if we manage to take whoever this is down, but he figured out Alex's power and... what if he can keep bringing himself back over and over. What if he kills us all except Alex, and he's left alone... used as a pawn to keep this man alive? Jim, if anyone finds out about Alex's power, it's game over for everyone."

"Willy boy calm down. You're thinking too much into this. That may be possible, but it is not probable. There are a million scenarios where it could be game over for all of us, that's one of the least likely."

"... well that's comforting." William mumbled in response to jim, who just chuckled.

"Point is, my dear, leave the worrying to me. I'll take care of it~."

"But jim, someone's outsmarting you... Hell, it's possible you're outsmarting yourself without even realizing it. How can you be so confident that you can handle all of this..?"

"I said, leave it to me." Jim restated, more serious this time. William blinked a few times then sighed, looking away once again. Even jim knew he was in way over his head. ... doesn't mean he was going to give up though.
