You were about to open your mouth to say something, when Harvey slipped back in the room with a devilish smile.

"Don't worry, I just 'forgot my jacket'." Harvey stated, obviously restating his excuse he made to William to come back here. However, he obviously had further reasons. He leaned over jim, staring into his eyes coolly with a dominant smile. Jim remained silent.

"Stay away from me and my sons, and we won't fuck up your life. ... Completely." Harvey stated, his smile not wavering. You thought you saw jim tense ever so slightly, although his expression still never wavered. Harvey, of course, noticed it too. Then he calmly strode over to you from behind, placing a hand on your shoulder, just above your hurt bicep. Of course it was meant as a threat, that he could and would hurt you as much as needed to get what he wants.

"As for you.... shame you won't be coming with us, really~. William would have really enjoyed your company. Oh well, C'est la vie. As long as you don't get in our way, you can enjoy your life with jim... for a few weeks, anyways. Then I'm afraid.... I must bring you both to an end~ however... at least you'll be together. I'm sure you'll find your decision was absolutely. Worth it." His voice deepened at the last few words, speaking through gritted teeth, his voice filled with sudden hatred. You felt involuntary goosebumps spread across your skin and you shivered. At the reaction, he smiled and stepped away from you, now standing in front of both you and jim.

".... see you soon." He smiled as he said it, swiftly picking up his jacket from the floor on the way out. You watched as he left, then looked over at jim with a hopeful glance. He stared at the door a moment, then simply smiled, slipping his hands out of the restraints that kept him held down to the chair. You blinked repeatedly, giving him a 'what the heck-??' Kind of glance, which he simply chuckled to.

"Don't worry about it. Now that arm of yours, that you need to worry about." Jim stated calmly, untying himself before carefully getting up and untying you too. You looked at him quietly, then smiled. Normally you could read jim when he was stressed... right now he actually seemed pretty calm. .... good. That means he had a plan. He lead you back to his office, where he sat you down in his chair and carefully bandaged your arm.

".... you think I'm surprised. About Harvey." Jim stated, as he fixed you up. You looked at him, completely baffled.

"... what? You knew—?!" You asked, eyes wide. Jim smiled.

"Of course I knew, my dear~ why do you think I kept him away from William and Alex?"

"Then.... why did you introduce him to me? You knew it would only be a matter of time before he crossed paths with Alex and William—??" You asked, trying to understand Jim's line of reasoning. Jim stopped what he was doing, running a hand through his hair as he calculated the best possible response.

".... let's put it this way. If William grew up knowing who his dad really was, he would be.... a lot different than he is now. Same with Alex. However, now that they have developed certain... quirks.. it bends the outcome of this situation more into my favour. With William biased towards me, and Alex towards you, we can stop Harvey before he becomes too powerful. The reason I reintroduced him to his kids now, is that I didn't want to allow him any more time to plan anything else that could throw me off. I've waited years for the perfect time, but Alex never liked me, and I'm not a fan of him either. With him on Harvey's side, he'd draw William away, and I'd be facing up against all three of them. You, my dear, were the missing piece. With you on my side, now both Alex and William will be with us as well. The only reason William and Alex went with Harvey was to protect us, so we're already one up on Harvey." Jim explained, seeming calm and composed as ever. You found yourself smiling a tiny bit; shaking your head. You didn't agree with jim separating the boys from their dad without telling them why, but... at least you knew he wasn't completely a monster as you thought he was before.... he was... a lesser monster.... but hey. At least he was cute.

"Alright.... so, what do we do now?" You ask, tilting your head slightly.

"You, my dear, need to get some rest. You don't seem to have fully accepted Harvey's... state. Leave the rest up to me." Jim replied, and you looked down. He was probably right... you couldn't even begin to process Harvey being a bad person... he was so nice before.... he genuinely seemed to care about you, and his boys. ... just goes to show that anyone can fake anything.
