Jim's POV:

Jim sat at his desk, vaguely listening to a casual conversation between William and Harvey. It was getting late, and jim was still not finished his tea. He had a notebook on his desk with a few things scribbled on it- jim hated being so old fashioned, but if William saw him on his phone he'd be bombarded with questions. Hence, jim put on an excellent play of multitasking. The two boys were so busy talking that jim managed to pull off taking fake notes, and checking his phone under his desk secretly. He was trying to track the hacker, but it was taking forever. It took days to collect enough data to even do it, but now the algorithm had changed and jim practically had to start all over. Luckily, it was a lot easier this time than the first, jim just had to wait it out until his phone caught up with all the new data.

William's voice snapped jim out of his thoughts.

"Okay yes, but predetermining people's judgements and actions is almost impossible to most people, you couldn't possibly know what they'll do next." William says, jim glances up but doesn't say anything. Harvey shrugged.

"Well no, it's quite simple actually. If you get to know their different tells, the things they unwittingly give away, it shows their emotions. For example, the drumming of fingers can portray anxiety or stress. Excessive blinking can show confusion. Everyone portrays their emotions in different ways, and actions are often, if not always based on emotion or train of thought. If you understand someone's train of thought, you can determine what they'll do next." Harvey replied calmly, William stared at him fascinatedly, and admiringly while jim observed.

"I understand being able to observe and conclude, but only for things they've done, places they've been. Trying to determine what they'll do next seems next to impossible for me." William replied, and Harvey chuckled.

"Time and practice. Isn't that right, jim?" Harvey asked with a smile, and jim nodded in response.

"Yes.. exactly." He agreed, before calmly taking a sip of his tea as the others resumed their conversation. Jim glanced down at his phone again, the processing was complete. Results were in. The original destination from where the building systems were hacked, as well as Jim's phone, and the destination from the text messages sent to jim from unknown... all originated from here. Right inside this building.

"Jim, Harvey and I are going to check on Alex. y/n told me earlier she wanted to check on him as well, then had a couple of things to do, so she should be back here any minute now. Don't do anything stupid while we're gone, alright?" William said, and jim smiled and nodded, holding in the mix of confusing emotions he was feeling.

"Of course, my dear~ wouldn't dream of it." He replied, his smile not wavering for one second. How could 'unknown' be here? Jim surely would have noticed. However, as William left the room, Jim's eyes locked with Harvey's.

As they did, Harvey shot jim a dark, malicious smile, before disappearing around the corner of the doorway.
