Alex looked up at you, tilting his head curiously.

"So... it worked?? You're all better now??" He asks, and you nod.

"Yes.. and really, I can't thank you enough Alex. You saved my life." You purred happily and he grinned, looking down sheepishly. Harvey smiled down at his son proudly, but stayed quiet. You looked over at jim with a smile, to catch him in what looked like Vietnam flashbacks for a second there, before he smiled as well. You discreetly took his hand(and he tolerated it), before opening your mouth to express what you knew they were all thinking.

"So... what do we do now? Now that everything seems to be more or less back to normal...?" You ask. Harvey shrugged.

"Nothing we can do, I guess. Just wait it out for now, and get back to work I suppose." He replied, looking at jim. Jim smiled and nodded.

"Exactly. Lots of work to catch up on~ Alex, feel free to explore the place, or read, or find william, or do whatever you like~." Jim hummed calmly, smiling. Alex nodded in response, shooting you one more smile before hopping off to who knows where. Harvey gave you a kind of 'keep an eye on jim, and stay safe' sort of look, before smiling and quietly slipping out of the room as well. You looked at jim a moment, thinking. ..... and you were still holding his hand, ehee..

"... do you mind if I call you James?" You ask, causing jim to look up at you confused.

"What?"

"I always hear people refer to you as Jim, Jim Moriarty, or James Moriarty. But never just 'James'. I kind of like it. Can I call you James?" You ask happily, looking into his eyes. Jim—- James raised an eyebrow, then shrugged.

"If you want to, I suppose so?" He replied. You smiled and nodded happily, just.. glad he hadn't been all upset and weird around you from last night. ... good. ... because in all honesty you were gonna make him keep staying with you, at LEAST until this is all figured out, ahah.

"Well, James.... you seem very much like the person to never make a proper first move..." you quietly slid off his desk once again, standing in front of him. He raised an eyebrow, not saying anything.

"... and I'm getting tired of waiting on you, soooo...." you climbed into his lap and sat down with a smile, absolutely screaming on the inside at how unlike you this was. You were so tired of waiting on jim though, you just.... just wanted to kiss him... you just wanted to be with him, and not constantly question whether he was actually yours or not. Jim resumed the same expression, not really reacting, but now he was just smiling calmly. The same composed, casual smile as always. You leaned in, pausing right before your lips touched his, in sudden realization as to WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING.

To your luck however, jim smiled more, and calmly leaned in the rest of the way to kiss you. You blushed as your mouths touched, and realizing the position you had put yourself in. But nevertheless jim didn't seem to mind, so thank GOD. All you could do was hope Alex or someone wouldn't walk in and make everything a million times worse than they already were, ahah.

You pulled your mouth away from his slightly to observe his reaction, knowing your face was tinted pink. Jim seemed perfectly fine— again, it was impossible to tell his intentions, or his deeper emotions, but right now you didn't care. You simply pressed your mouth to his again, placing your hands on his face to deepen the kiss. One of his hands trailed up into your hair and the other at your low back, pulling you against him as you kissed. You were as red as a tomato now, but didn't care. This is what you wanted.. needed from him. All those 'first kisses', but never a word after them. Those tiny allowances and gestures that you know he wouldn't allow anyone else to do.. they finally seemed like they mattered, like you mattered to him...

It was perfect.
