I finished putting my checkered belt around my hips and looked in the mirror. I nodded, satisfied with today's apparel. A cut off, off-white shirt that had a hipster Mickey on the front, a paisley scarf, dark skinny jeans, and moccasins. I made sure I had an equal amount of hair on each of my shoulders and then headed out. Madi wanted to go walk around today, and I didn't have any other plans, so why not? Ashley wasn't home; thank god, and I hooked the leash to my dog Dexter's collar. He is a huge Labrador. I sat on a bench and waited for Madi to appear in front of me like she usually does, and I wasn't disappointed.
"Hey!"
"Hi," I smiled.
"Which way are we walking?"
"I was thinking that way, because there's less people to have to weave Dexter though."
She smiled down at him, and petted him a couple times. "Definitely the best way to go."
I stood up and we started walking in the direction I pointed to. I looked her up and down and nodded. "You look so cute today."
"Yeah?"
I nodded again. She was wearing a sleeveless, orange button up, dark skinny jeans, and gold sandals. Her hair was straight like usual, since that's her favorite way to style her hair.
She smiled. "Thanks."
"You're welcome."
"Have you heard back from that studio yet?"
"Which one?"
"The last photography studio you applied to?"
Photography, my dream career. "Not yet, but I'm still hoping for it. And the others."
"I know you're going to get this one."
"I'm really hoping, because then I can rub it in Ashley's face."
"What?"
"The fact that I got a job in my profession before she did," I smirked.
She laughed.
"What about you?"
"I haven't found any orthodontist offices that are looking for help, but there's this really cool place that's hiring for interior design."
"You should apply for that!"
"Already did." She smiled.
"Of course you did."
She laughed and looked down at her phone. She smiled and quickly typed something back before looking at me again.
"Who is that? Chase?"
"Uh.. Yeah."
My eyes narrowed, and I stopped walking. "You hesitated."
"No I didn't."
"Yeah you did! Why'd you hesitate?"
"Uh, well-"
My phone vibrated once, letting me know I had a notification for something. I looked down, and immediately glared at Madi after reading it. "Mads, why is Michael Clifford following me on twitter?"
"I don't know, but he finally found you, isn't that amazing?!"
"How did he find me?"
"I don't know..."
"Madi..."
"I may or may not have tweeted at him."
"So you did?"
