Rachel's POV

"Do you think your parents were mad at me?" Niall asked.

"Not a chance. As long as we replace it, we should be okay."

"Alright."

We walked into Home Depot and started looking around for lamp shades. "How did you manage to break it anyway?"

"I kind of got a little excited about watching something on tv and when I started running, I tripped over something and landed on the table, and then I kind of pulled the lamp down with me."

I laughed. "You are so crazy. You're lucky I'm not mad at you for interrupting me and Michael."

"Did that go okay?"

"It went great! I felt like it was just like when we first started dating."

"That's good."

"You're completely over me, right?"

"Yes, I see you only as a friend now."

I smiled. "And sorry about leaving you with my sister yesterday.."

"It's fine. I'll have you know she only hit on me twenty times."

"Wow, I didn't know she could refrain herself that much."

He laughed, and draped his arm over my shoulders. "So, what would look the best?"

"Um.. Probably that one," I pointed.

"Let's get it then."

He picked it up, and when we got to the counter we still weren't done arguing about who was going to pay for it. He argued that it was his fault so he should buy it, but as much as I argued that it was my parents' house, he disagreed with me... He ended up paying for it.

We finally got home, and we walked in laughing about how we had gone to a store that are usually for men, and we still managed to encounter some fans. A couple of them asked if we were dating again, and we both quickly shot that down. I don't think it'd be too good if the headline for a magazine was "Rachel and Niall: Together Again?" That wouldn't be good for the current relationship I was in, which is probably why they asked.

"Oh, hey! You guys are back!" Ashley smiled at Niall. I really feel like I'm completely invisible around her.

"Yup," I said. Niall's taken to not answering her at all, ever again.

"So, Niall.. About that offer I asked you.."

He discreetly rolled his eyes.

"Offer?" I asked him.

"To go on a date with her," he said before turning to her. "Sorry, but I have a girlfriend."

"Really? I haven't seen anything on Twitter or in magazines.." she bit her lip.

"Uh, we're trying to keep it a low profile." He looked at me like he was nervous she basically stalked him.

"Do I know her?" She asked, taking a step closer.

He took a step back. "Uh-"

"It's me," I said. Niall stopped and looked at me, obviously surprised that I said that. "We're dating again. Surprise.." I laughed.

"I thought you were dating Michael?"

"We didn't exactly hit it off like I expected, and then Niall and I ran into each other again and we connected again."

She looked between us, like she wasn't sure whether or not to believe me.

"Yeah, it's true," Niall finally agreed, and put his arm around me.
