Rachel's POV

I walked into the hotel room, and laid out on my bed. Kaylee is engaged. Even though I'm beyond excited for her, I can already take a guess as to who I'm going to be paired up with. They're sneaky like that. I changed into something a little more presentable, and then headed over to Kaylee and Calum's. She immediately hugged me when she opened the door, and I started laughing.

"Hey there, maid of honor."

"Hey there bride."

"Well, don't just stand there hugging me, we have to go inside."

"You were hugging me!"

"What? No..."

I rolled my eyes, and laughed. "So obviously things are going amazing with you and Calum. You're all moved in together, and engaged. It's crazy."

"Yeah, definitely."

"Rae!" Calum yelled before running and tackling me.

"Um, hey Calum," I laughed.

"It's been too long since you've last been here."

"I was here two weeks ago."

"Right. For as much as you're here, you might as well just move to Australia."

I pulled away. "You can't be serious."

"I am."

"And live where?"

"I'm sure you can afford an apartment or something."

"Cal.. My job is back in LA..."

"And Michael is here, right? That's the problem?"

"Yeah, it is. You know we aren't on the best of terms."

"Well if you just talked to each other and worked things out-"

"We've already done that.. Numerous times."

"Not since the break-up."

"There wasn't a need to. We've already spent so much time talking and it hasn't worked. I'm done trying to figure out what's going on with us."

"But you shouldn't let it stop you from moving ahead in your career."

My eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about?"

"Well... I was kind of wondering if you'd be like our own personal photographer?"

"Personal photographer?"

"Yeah. Like anytime we'd need pictures taken for a magazine, or pictures during our shows, you'd be the one to take them."

"I don't know.."

"Don't make your decision until you talk to Michael."

"I haven't even responded to his texts about me coming here."

"You have to talk to him before my wedding, Rae," Kaylee said, arms crossed.

"But-"

"You're going to. I don't want it to be awkward on my wedding day."

"Fine, but do I have to walk down the aisle with him?"

"No, it'll be you and Luke."

"Luke and Jen broke up?"

"Yeah.." Calum sighed.

"Why?"

"They didn't really talk to each other after a while, and it was like they slowly started to lose interest in each other."

I sighed. Selfishly, I was okay with it, but I also felt bad that I didn't even realize it.

"We're going wedding dress shopping tomorrow!" Kaylee yelled.

"Oh my gosh! I am so excited to go!"

She smiled, and let it fall as she looked behind me. I turned around and immediately made my way past Michael and to the door. Yes, it was probably a little immature, but I'm not ready to see him.

"Rachel, wait!" Michael yelled.

I ignored him and started half jogging down the hall.

"Rachel, please? We really need to talk.."

"Michael, stop."

"We need to."

"I don't want to right now, okay? Just leave me alone."

I could hear him stop chasing after me and breathed a sigh of relief once I got in the elevator. I couldn't have been happier when I finally got back to my hotel room, and changed into shorts, and one of Niall's old shirts. I took out my phone and went to his name in my contacts. It only rang twice and he answered.

"Hey!"

"Hi."

"What's wrong babe?"

My heart flipped. "Nothing... Just unexpectedly ran into Michael and then I ran away as fast as I could."

"I'm sorry. I wish I could be there with you but I can't fly in until late tomorrow night."

"I know.."

"I miss you."

"I miss you, too."

"Don't hate me, but I think you should talk to him."

"Why?"

"Because he's not going to stop trying to get back together with you until you tell him you're not available anymore."

"You're right. I probably should have told him that before I ran off."

He laughed. "I'll be there as soon as I can, okay?"

"Okay. Please make it soon?"

"I can't get there fast enough."

I smiled. "Bye."

"Bye, babe."

We hung up and I slowly drifted off to sleep, my thoughts filled with different speeches I could say to Michael.

••••••••••••••••

I know it's been forever since I updated, and sorry that it's so short, but it's been a super busy week since I went to band camp, and I'm super excited to get back on schedule with my updates!!!!
